    Pros +

    • Late check in available and good facilities
    • Pitoresque town with a rich tapestry of history, culture and natural beauty.
    • Great location, good breakfest, nice and clean rooms.

    Cons -

    • Parking is not available and hard to find near hotel
    • The room: old furniture and very used floor; I am very sorry to say that, in the room, the air was specific to unsanitary spaces, superficially cleaned.
    • The breakfast could be more reach for the price. I found it a bit restricted and had fewer options. However, I would like to mention one situation with reception while checking out. My two-year-old daughter took a pen from the room to write, I asked the receptionist whether it was possible to take it with her. She frowned her face giving the signal that she was not satisfied with it. Certainly, I put it back, even though she started crying. It is not about the pen, I could buy it of course, but it was Sunday and all the shops were closed. Nevertheless, with the baby, it could be exceptional. She was older age and was unfriendly, whereas, while checking, the young boy was friendly.

The location is really handy for almost all the sights of the city.

The room was like advertised, it was clean, and the check-in personnel was very friendly. The location is excellent (in the middle of the old town). The breakfast also had a good variety, including fresh coffee and fruits.

If you are on a romantic trip, be advised that the double bed is made of two mattresses together with a gap in the middle. The pillows were also gigantic and too tall for my taste. As much as the breakfast was good, 16.50€ per person is a bit much; there are many bakeries near the hotel and you could enjoy having a coffee in the old town for less. Lastly, the hotel does not have parking spots. We understood they would offer a discount on a partner parking lot, but we could not benefit from this because there was a festival in the town and many streets were blocked, so we could not reach the parking lot they recommended. It ended up costing us more than 20€ to park somewhere else for ca. 24 hours.

standard hotel in very central location, kettle in the room, good breakfast and wifi

poor lighting, bad view from the window

Very nice hotel in the centre of the town, close to lakes, parks and the beautiful 'Schloss'Problem with hot water was amply compensated with free parkingticket!

Hotel is situated in a narrow backstreet, not that easy to find nor access, but we managed to get it right eventually!

This is what usually one thinks, one will get, when booking a hotel, centrally located, close to a beautiful castle?. It was a lovely stay and I would love to come back.

No AC, but did not need it

    Very poor

The hotel was closed. Even though it is mentioned that the desk works 24 hours. I had to wait on the street for 30 minutes until security person came and very slowly found the room for me

Small hotel in center with parking garage.

    7DbemPosted on: 8-11-2024

Without a doubt the best aspect of the hotel was the location, right in the heart of the city and within a 15 minute walk of the castle. plenty of restaurants and shopping within 5 minutes walk. We parked our car and and only returned when we were ready to leave for home. Oh yes the parking was right around the corner and at 10 Euros per 24 hours very affordable.

The beds were too low and hard.

Location near the Schwerin Castle and right in the centre. Nice, furnished terrace with view on the top floor.

Free WiFi was promised - and an access point could be seen. However, the signal was too weak to allow connecting with any of my devices from the room.

Brilliant position in centre of town, staff friendly and helpful. Room a good size and quiet, as we requested. Although there is no hotel parking, the multistorey nearby was convenient and had plenty of spaces.

Rather dark, which could be improved by better lighting. Some shelving in bathroom would be good.

    7PatrickPosted on: 5-26-2024

Location was fantastic. Room was good.

Receptionist was at the best present. Was interested in something else and I do not know if language problem or didn't want to take the time. Each time we entered or exited, he never looked up. We could have been a thief or worse. Could not or didn't care. With the exception of this person, everything was fine. We are fluent in German and English. Language was definitely not the problem. Nothing was answered properly in both languages.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, right in the city center, only a few minutes from Schwerin Castle.

It's a perfectly average hotel with a price certainly above average. Wifi signal in the room was very unstable, the beds were very low and quite uncomfortable - all this would be perfectly acceptable in a bit lower price range.

Fantastic location, right in the centre, but also on a quiet street. Friendly and helpful staff on reception. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was good.

All good for a small hotel.

    8VladislavaPosted on: 12-4-2023

The hotel is nicer as it looks like on Internet, basically on the pedestrian street of Schwerin and close to all administrative buildings, restaurants, etc. The parking on the back of the building was easily accessible as well.

Very weak WiFi in the rooms, good WiFi in the lobby. Lobby is very dark, if you wish to work.

    9NiklasPosted on: 10-15-2023

Right in the city center, you can reach all the famous attractions in less than 15min.

    Not the newest furniture.

Great location, Clean and comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. Definitely recommended.

    7MettePosted on: 7-21-2023

Perfect location. Close to shops, restaurants etc.

The WiFi was the worst I have ever experienced! The pillows were terrible. Bathroom a bit small.
