Excellent location, convenient for exploring the city.A cozy restaurant and good time for breakfast.The room was tidy and clean.The cost was lower, for a solo traveler.

The facilities are quite outdated: furniture, towels, and the bathroom looked worn out and cracked in places.In larger cities with more competition, you could find a more modern option for a similar price, but in Meppen, the choices are more limited )

Great little hotel, staff excellent, room was grand, clean. Bicycle cellar added bonus fer the cyclists.Breakfast great and proper tea, mmm, refreshing.I liked my stay here.

Writing DIRECT to the Hotel’s email address - not just using the Booking.com system - gave quick replies to our queries about:1. How to check in late - from our late arriving car ferry at Hook of Holland;& 2. Where to park our car for free upon our arrival at the Hotel (in the centre of the city). Very spacious & comfortable room - & bathroom.Great ‘Keyboy’ system, outside the Hotel, to enable us to check in late, after the staff had left for the night. A WONDERFUL breakfast. Eat as much as you can - from a large range of choices of food & drink.

No details about HOW to get WiFi/WLAN when making such a late check in. Problem solved, however, next morning before breakfast!

Not the hotels fault but the parking outside would not accept my card so had to get up super early to move it.

The room was clean and comfortable. Hotel had an elevator. The breakfast was very complete. The location is great , close to pubs and also to a huge supermarket.

Payment on arrival was difficult as several different cards all resulted in "system failure". Eventually paid by BACS. Wifi soon stopped working. Noisy bin men at 05:30. But all else was great.

Lovely breakfast and amiable waitress

The hotel website promised secure private parking. As we were travelling by motorcycle this was an important criteria for our choice of hotel. The Alstadt does NOT have private parking and the nearest public parking, admittedly close by, had to be paid for

The receptionist was very helpful and welcoming. The quietness of the room also upgraded my stay at the hotel.

The information about the parking space was misleading. It wasn't made clearly for my understanding that it was a public parking space, and not the private parking of the hotel. And it wasn't free at all.

For the stay we were all satisfied. Also the breakfast was fine.Though the beds in the one rom were VERY soft and gave us only a few hours sleep.For tjecking out, our visa-cards were not accepted. The staff did notering to help us out. I spend an hour trying to call My bank in Denmark and finaly found out, that my card Was not the problem. I could without Any troubles withdrawl money from the bank.The problem was in the terminal in the hotel. But nothing they did to help me sort out the problem - not Even a cup of Coffee
