Hotel Meyn

The hotel itself was ok, it's old and not very up-to-date with the facility, but it also provides everything one needs. what made our stay totally amazing was the people of the hotel, the helpfulness, the friendliness, the kindness, they were amazing, deserve 5 stars. The breakfast buffet was really great, exceed our expectation. The location is great. If we go to Soltau next time, we shall stay here again.

Very nice hotel in the countryside, yet close to the highway (Autobahn) 7 and 6. Nice big room with big double bed and big bathroom.Breakfast was really good with freshly baked bread, eggs, bacon, yoghurts, orange juice and coffee.

Spacious and clean room. Good breakfast. Location in the center of the city and only 10 minutes from thermals. It is old hotel, but still good enough to stay. If you are traveling to Heide Park, this is the best hotel for you. It only took 8 minutes.

It was easy to access

The room was smelly, beds were bad and the breakfast was not good. We had booked a room for 2 nights, 2 adult and 1 kids we only stayed for one night it was that bad.

Central in the city. Free parking, great breakfast. Comfortable beds.

Fairly standard accommodation, but not particularly good value for money.

I travel a lot. For the standard that this established is offering, they are overcharging. I paid 60€ to be accommodated in what was basically a cupboard with a small bed stuck in it. The TV didn't work unless the main light switch was on, and the decor was from before I was born. This hotel needs a complete makeover if it's to be considered as an appropriate business.

The service was great ! We asked for a better pillow and in 5 min it was brought to our room . Breakfast is not very exensive but very good .

The old age of the building , old carpet and noisy stairs . The time we were travelling you only see old people not young like us . (30+)

Location was good.

No elevator, very outdated bathroom with separate toilet and shower facitlities, old and torn away carpets.

Friendly staff, tasty breakfast, nice room

The staff was very helpful and friendly. I had a problem and the owner put additional efforts to help me. They helped me with the luggage as well on the stairs:) I left my luggage in their storage for free after check out. The breakfast was good, they had really lots of food. And the room was very warm and clean. I would definitely recommend it!

Great hotel! You feel at home ? It's magical, and most importantly, very clean air and central location. Also very tasty and satisfying food, friendly hosts and the desire to return again and again ✨

Rooms in the older part were quite outdated

We liked check-in and TV size.

Breakfast was poor. Hot boiled eggs and old bread.No parking spaces for all guests. No useable Wi-Fi and reception didn’t care. Hotel is very worn - carpets should have been replaced 10 years ago. Towels are thin and should have been replaced 5 years ago. No aircon. Old closets. Old toilet. Small plastic bags of shampoo.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and the room was really clean. They gave really good suggestions and booked a taxi for us to get to the Heide Park. They even spoke in English which was an unexpected surprise in a small city.

The breakfast spread wasn't too big. Options were quite limited. But on the plus side, they heated up the milk for us as there was no warm milk on the spread. We only got a a room with two twin beds instead of a double bed.

Disappointing

We arrived promptly at the hotel. We received a terrible reception by a person(owner?)She shouted out: this i my working place and we have to stay in line while pointing to the floor. We nearly was about to leave the hotel before check in. With that big lack og manners, we will not recommend this hotel

Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Organised, no fuss or issues with check-in or check-out. We ate a light meal in the evening, swift service, nice food, but a little expensive.

The hotel is starting to look a little tired, although the staff are clearing working to keep what they have as well presented as they can
