City Hotel de Jonge

Everything. I game for a visit. Was born in Assen. Left in 1964 . Hotel de jong was my stamping ground with all my friends before that time. Game to visit my sister and family in Assen. Speciaal for the TT and what er allemaal by hoord. Niet the vergeten De Johan Frieso Capel en de 5K I was going to run but was cancelled because of heat. Zo maybe next year.Same time next year. See you then. Betsy Van Dyke. Stienstra.

Everything was perfect.

The location is great, walking distance to the train station only 8min. Employees very, very helpful. The breakfast was exceptionally good and an extensive breakfast selection.

The pillows and blankets are kinda heavy and especially the pillows are so uncomfortable to sleep on. The rooms are worn out.

The hotel was in a great location, central to the city. There was a fair bit to see just walking in the area. The room was nicely appointed, comfortable, and clean.

We always have trouble sleeping on a European mattress. While the beds were good, they aren't as comfortable as a firm spring mattress.

It’s the second time I’ve stayed at this hotel, and once again I had a pleasant experience. The room was clean and cozy, and the breakfast was delicious. The location is great — it’s about a 10-minute walk from the train station, and there’s a supermarket and several other stores nearby. My train was cancelled, so I informed the hotel that I would be arriving late for check-in. The staff reassured me that the night shift had been informed of my arrival and would be waiting for me. That made me feel much calmer and less anxious. They were very kind to me.

Location, history

Sink didn’t drain; no wash cloths, shower head was way too low

The room and bathroom were spacious.

The location is great! And the hotel is very nice, and my room was very clean. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was very nice.

Friendly staff cared about the safe parking place for our motorbike. Great thanks! It was also very comfortable to sleep and the breakfast exceeded our expectations!

I personally prefer to have the toilet room combined with bathroom. But it wasn't a problem. :)

Confort ,beakfast , location. Friendly reception

Everything was ok

Friendly evening staff

The first room had a toilet still full urine , so was given another room as the toilet area smell strongly of wee!

Very friendly staff. Four star local hotel in city centre. Walking distance from railway station and Drents Museum.

Heating unit made some noise. No bicycles.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, spacious and warm, which was good as it was very cold outside! The breakfast was varied and substantial.

It was all great.

very friendly and helpful receptioncomfortable bedwide variety of breakfast options

some noise from the neighbour bathroom

Breakfast was alright, and location was perfect.

There was no beans and sausages for breakfast

Very friendly hotel with well equipped spacious rooms and top class breakfast. Good wifi and TV and central location in Assen; walking distance from the train station. Excellent choice.

Interior of the public spacious bit outdated.

Clean, nice breakfast, good location

The receptionist had two blunders: first I got a wrong room number, and then the key didn't work so I had to go to the receptionist twice

Excellent location in the city center. Nice service, good breakfast.

Bathroom/WC not really nice and cozy. Bedroom was nice and clean but the restroom facilities did not look very compelling.
