Hotel Astor Kiel by Campanile

Location was absolutely amazing, as well as breakfast and the rooms was soo nice

The room was newly renovated and practicably furnished. The large bed was before the room-long window with a look in the harbor direction. From 7th floor this offered some kind of a view.

Noise carries awfully well in that house. There are large slits beneath the entry doors, but there is no other door to insulate the bedroom against noise. So, I could hear every word of my room neighbors who talked with normal voices. One night someone was playing music till 1 am in another floor ...

Location, friendly, helpful staff (helped me a lot with another biz problem), especially thanks to the smiley lady from the breakfast lounge for saving my morning with a good coffee!

It's a bit outdated, but very clean. Only 1 thing - mattress in my room so soft, not good for my shoulder.

In city centre. Close to restaurants, bars and shops.

Good hotel right in the city center of Kiel. Very Nice and friendly staff, they let me check in at 11:00. Perfect location. The breakfast was also good. Nice vore from the room and breakfast room. I can recommend.

The pictures of a comfort room does not necessarily mean that’s what you get.It looks like you will get a bathtub if you choose comfort, ours didn’t have one, but when approaching the reception to ask for it we got a different room with a tub.The rooms are not super clean, the furnitures are in a miserable state and could really use a renewal

Fantastic location in the centre and well connected to the whole city!The room was spacious and had all basic amenities. I went for just one night for a business trip, so I didnt have the time to see all the Hotel had to offer, but in general it was a very pleasant stay - value for money for sure!

The Hotel is a bit older and this shows. Also I cannot tell that it was squeaking clean. However, both things were not really a problem

very friendly staff, best location in Kiel, right in the center, close the bus station and the trainstation and also the sea.

a bit loud, also in the 9 th floor you could still hear the people on the street, very old wooden rooms, still clean and tidy tho.

The hotel is very outdated. My room has quite obviously not been dusted in a long time as there was a layer of dust over almost everything. The bed was also not that comfortable.

Liked that it was placed in the middle of it all.

It was dirty and ruined. Staff was not happy. Breakfast crowded and there was not enough staff to the amount of guests. Things were falling apart. Doorsteps were replaced with cardboard at some places. Elevators was tiny, not room enough for a wheelchair. Elevators only to 9th floor. Breakfast at 10th. Way to expensive for the very low standard. Will not reccomend it.

I liked the hotel location and the perfect breakfast.

The hotel is not a new one, but everything was ok and room and bathroom was clean. The bed could be more comfortable.The noise from the hallway was sometimes disturbing.

Hard finding a parking garage.Watch out for the older lady in the reception, she tried to charge me two times for the parking garage thinking that I did not understand the German language. But i do.The water in the shower did not go away, some cleaning is probably needed.
