Hotel Dietrichsdorfer Hof

Not in middle of Kiel, but very easy access by car, around 5 minutes. Nearby, you find supermarket, drugstore, places to eat. Breakfast was basic, but sufficient. Staff friendly too.

It was bone chilling cold and the room heater wasn’t working properly

Bed was comfy and breakfast was good

THe outside temperature was 0ºC the radiator in the room was on minimum. Even turning it on when I got in, I had to sleep in a thermal top.The wifi connection was poor.

The Food was very good. The staff was very helpful. The Hotel was clean.

There was quite a lot of Strange people at Nights hanging out in front of the Hotel. Seemed to me like a bad neighborhood.

A little colder staff but otherwise okay, golden German standard - good and sufficient continental breakfast, restaurant and food very good. Plus for the twin beds in the rooms. Free parking in front of the hotel.

Was out of city centre on a quite street with bus stop outside hotel, and within walking distance for us catching our cruise the following day

There were not many instructions from staff and posters on how to get into the hotel after 10PM. At some point we thought we were stranded outside for the night, because no one was answering their phone either. We figured it out in the end, though.

We booked a room for two adults and two kids, but the sleeping couch was prepared only for one child, so we were missing one pillow and blanket. Since we arrived late and were supposed to do a self-check-in, there was no one to ask for the missing blanket and pillow.The cleaning is done only superficially. The outlets in the bathroom are black because of the dirt, and if one opens the window, there are spider nets all around the frame.The breakfast is low quality, and most products are bought at Aldi.

Large room. Little difficult to get inside in the evening as there is no night reception. But got access from a friendly lady once I called the night number on the door. Wifi was good and was free. Decent breakfast. Small but free parking next to hotel.

The hotel staff were courteous, room and bathroom was clean and tidy. Bus stop is a minute away from the hotel which takes you to the centre in 25 mins.

Beds were not comfortable and the room was not brightly lit. Breakfast was average.

The breakfast was substantial and quite good. Weekends can be busy. We arrived on a Thursday, Friday was quiet however, Saturday, when we left, was quite busy.

The structure has no elevator and we were on the top floor. If mobility issues are a problem. I suggest checking with the desk to see if an accommodation on a lower floor would be better.

this hotel is only used for the ferry to lithuania thats why its 50% more than hotels in town

as it was end of seasan it was poor

The shower was the most powerful out of the 4 hotels visited on this trip.Breakfast was ample even though not as requested.

We requested single beds (we travelled as father and son) and were informed that the request would be granted. On arrival the beds were coupled together with a single sheet. We had to request single sheets and then had to separate the beds and fit the sheets ourselves - not really a problem but not something we expected to do ourselves.We would be the only diners at breakfast and were asked to complete a breakfast order prior to retiring for the night. We did not get what we requested but what we got was ample.The pillows were huge but not supportive - more like a very soft candy floss which smothered rather than supported.
