    • I like the fact that the hotel provides breakfast for its customers. The environment was very neat. The owner was very understanding and the staffs were friendly.
    • The Location!!! The Price!!!
    • Soft very decent beds with normal pillows, good ventilation, clean.

    Cons -

    • Well I didn't like the fact that the breakfast was standard no changes or variety. No storage place were customers could keep their own food stuff they travel with.
    • Sometimes the t’ANKER staff comes down a bit hard about the Rules….however, I stayed there several times & over the course of these visits, I realized that they have to keep repeating the same Rules over & over to all guests….which must get quite irritating…especially since the Rules are written out in 3 languages & are totally Logical…especially from the staff’s perspective to run an efficient Hotel at a reasonable rate…..so from my personal experience, reading the Booking.com information & understanding the Rules will make a Pleasant Visit for ALL!!

For a low price, I got a room with all the basic amenities: a comfortable bed, a small table with a chair, and a sink. The bed was especially cozy. Staying here cost nearly the same as traveling home for one night and returning to Leeuwarden the next day, which was why I booked this room.

A little visitor in the night being attracted by the bread which was in my even bag, despite that the bread was being wrapped in plastic. The owner promised to make work of this.

It was very comfortable for sleeping, the breakfast room was nice, I liked having an easy check out by leaving the key at the door

Someone took half of my breakfast from the fridge and there was a mouse in the bedroom

Great location, a bit run-down at entry and staircases. I was top floor so quite a climb ?. Room was spacious and clean. Bathroom is shared on this floor

At check in I met with a personal, who showed me into my room. He informed me of the breakfast time and check out times. I mentioned that I travelled since day before, so I will sleep. That was at 1pm. At 2pm I woke up of the noise that the same personal just unlocking the door and coming in, without even knocking, and when he steps in, sees that I am in the bed undressed and just hands me the towels, like it is the most natural thing in the world. I was speechless. Next morning, I arrived to breakfast at 09:50, (the person from check in told me its from 8:30-10:30, yet it was nothing there, just 2 dirty tables, and no food at all. Staff is nowhere to be found not in the "canteen" and not in reception. Terrible experience.

I was humiliated in front of a full room of guests by the owner of Hotel 't Anker.I've never felt embarrassment like this before. I walked into the restaurant, and the owner confronted me in a hostile, aggressive, and uncivilized manner. He barked, “What are you doing here?” I replied that I was just looking to grab something to eat. His response? “Oh, so you think you can just grab things without paying?”He loudly declared that he was the owner, and said, “In Holland, grabbing means stealing!”—as if I were trying to steal something. I was completely gobsmacked. Everyone in the restaurant was staring at me. I felt defenceless, humiliated, and confused. He then ordered me to follow him to check in the system whether I was entitled to breakfast or not. At that point, I was so shocked I didn’t even know how to respond. I tried to explain that whether breakfast was included or not, I was happy to pay for an apple or a cup of tea—but he had already shut me down and made it clear I was not welcome to even look at the food.I had no intention of grabbing anything without paying. I genuinely thought I could come in, order something, and be charged accordingly like any normal establishment. Instead, I was treated like a criminal in front of strangers. This was one of the rudest, most degrading encounters I've ever had. I would not recommend this place to anyone—not even to a dog. The owner is unbelievably RUDE and lacks basic decency. Avoid at all costs

Very small room, but good price/value ratio. Breakfast decent, couldn´t expect more for this money.

The bed was very saggy, should be replaced.

Very close to the center and station, the place was very nice and clean. My mom had a small issue with her room but it was quickly solved by the owner, and the staff was super polite I would definitely recommend

Nice breakfast, easy Check-in and check-out

The window in the room was not in the best stage

There is intense racism and they don't pay your money, thieves

I was in Leeuwarden for treatment in a racist facility and we were subjected to racism by the owner of the facility. When we wanted to leave, our 2-day room fee was not refunded. They said, "Go to the police, I will not give you your money." I definitely do not recommend it.

Very comfortable beds. Very clean. Great location.

The wifi did not work when I was in my room, overall no complaints

Close to the center. They have an ok bar. Staff ok

It is not very clean, the rooms are old, everything is damaged,

The room was very clean! It's nice to have a sink and a window that can be opened. The heater works well too!

I didn't like that the cleaner put the blanket and mattress covers on the floor in the corridor.

In a lovely setting and area.

Poor facilities, no kettle or drink making facilities, no hair dryer, no breakfast.

Convenient location on a nice street. Not far from bars, restaurants and the main canals. The staff was nice and helpful. The room was small but comfortable, with a desk, small wardrobe, a TV and private shower. It's okay for solo travelers who are spending a few days in town and don't need anything too fancy but want some privacy and comfort.

The walls were too thin and could listen to the neighbors and their TV in the room next door. The bathroom smelled funny. The lock of my room was in bad conditions and felt like the door could be opened from the outside if someone pushed it enough (didn't happen! it's just that it wasn't in good enough conditions).

location, comfy bed, good situation in the bathrooms

Walls like paper, not warm enough, extremely small rooms.

    5BánkaPosted on: 10-25-2024

It was easily accessible. Located in the centre but you could sleep at night, there wasn't any loudness coming from the streets. The staff was very friendly, too.

The walls were thin, therefore you could hear everyone above and next to you. The corridors are also narrow, one night one of the guests woke us up because he smashed his luggage to our door. An earplug might be helpful...
