    • Enjoyed the little sitting area since we were there for 5 nights. The breakfasts were great.
    • Breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed it a lot. The paintings on the wall were nice. The room seems newly renovated and very clean. The view was quite good and the room was comfortable in a historical area.
    • The location is great, easy to reach from the station, near some nice walkways and next to the old town/pedestrian zone with lots of restaurants, cafés and shops. There was a cute Christmas market on when we stayed in Buxtehude, right next to the hotel. The breakfast was OK. The staff was nice an fun.

    Cons -

    • They keep sending messages for check in, welcome but they didn’t inform us that the family room that we booked was taken until we arrived then they offer twin bed and single bed room instead which we have no other choice. I travel with non-English speaking old parents and travel with one luggage, to separate room make some inconvenient. They say sorry and said that discount will be applied as it their mistake. Next morning, I checked out and ask for the the payment, they gave me higher price than original price as we use 2 rooms but I said no. I’ll never pay higher than the reserved price, yesterday they said that discount will be offered as well. Finally, I paid original price we booked but left me feeling the unprofessional.
    • We are unaccustomed to the large square bed pillows and found them uncomfortable.
    • There was not enough place to store our luggage. We wanted a table or a desk, too.The floor carpet under the bed was not good, as the edge of it curls up all the time.

It's too expensive. The room was kind of small, but OK, the breakfast was nothing special and the buffet presented in a way that 1 person could block everything for all others. the WLAN didn't work in our room. Also, it is quite noisy outside - if you wanted to sleep with your window open in summer, it would be too loud. So not really good value for money.

The bed and pillow was not comfortable.

    Staff were great! Location perfect!

Arrived late and had a little trouble figuring out that the second key on the room keychain was used to open the main entrance door.Parking was a little rough since there was a festival in town and most of the streets and street parking were closed but we figured it out.

Get what you pay for. Nice room. Friendly staff. The location is absolutely brilliant too. BUX is a lovely town.

    Shower a bit small.

    Location, authenticity, cleanliness

I stayed for nostalgic reasons - some would find it dated

    9AndreasPosted on: 7-22-2024

Clean, quiet room with beautiful view. Decoration a little dated.

Location is perfect, close to shops and restaurants yet still quiet.

    The location

The TV on the room was not working and even though they tried to help me and brought another TV set still did not manage to work. The size of the bed was extremely small

Location and size of the studio suite on the top floor. Room 700

No staff to check us in on arrival. No room cleaning during 3 night stay. No assistance from reception when asking a query as did not speak English. No information in room. No welcome pack. No customer service at all.

Hotel is in a great location (can be a bit noisy at night due to close by bars and restaurants). Breakfast is excellent.

The rooms are a bit dated and lack some charm.

The hotel is located in the beautiful centre of Buxtehude, about 15 minutes walking distance from the train station. Our stay was comfortable and breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The staff was very kind and helpful.

Overall, there is nothing to criticise, just that the price for the room could be lower. Sometimes I heard the elevator in my room during the night.

    Clean and a good location

1 room not as good a standard as the other room we booked.

    9HenriquePosted on: 10-4-2023

There are not so many options of hotel in Buxtehude, so this one was the best we had found. The Hotel has a very good structure and is very confortable. Although the reception is not 24h, the staff left our keys inside a locked front box and had coordinated with us the instructions for our late arrival

The wifi signal was very bad, almost impossible to use it inside the rooms

Could not find availability on Booking.com fr the whole stay so I booked a single for 1 day and a double for the rest of the stay. Upon check-in that was corrected and got the double for the whole stay, and I got a room in the attic with a beautiful view. Breakfast was great, the room very big

As I made a booking via Booking.com instead directly on the hotel website I was unaware that the reception is not open 24/7 and that my room key would be left in a safe at the entrance (apparently I should have been contacted by staff to tell me that). There is a number to call, and after a few minutes a person came, checked me in, sorted out the issue with the booking and gave a great room.

Great location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Big room and clean.

The hotel is located in the city centre in a very nice historic building. The hotel has a few parking spaces, but if these are full they can provide a parking card for parking on the public streets.

The Wifi in the room was poor and unsuitable for even basic browsing. There is a free public wifi in the city, which is of good quality and speed. Fortunatelly, I could connect to this network from the room. The feedback from the hotel was that in an old building it is difficult to have good internet in every room.I booked a Deluxe Studio, but my room was just a double room. The explanation from the hotel was that not all the rooms are the same and Booking made some rooms look nicer. In the room and at the bed side there were no power sockets. The only accessble power connection was an extension cord lying on the ground. The bed pillows are too large for my preference.

    The location is excellent.

The garbage is picked up at 5.30 A.M. and they are very loud also the area is loud. The choice of meats for breakfast is low quality. It's definitely not worth the price.
