After booking through Booking.com website was convinced we would be staying in Chateau but was given a room in Orangerie . We questioned this but reception would not change. Booking .com website is confusing for this hotel or reception chested us.

Lovely old chateau, the interior decor is amazing. Friendly staff and a fabulous restaurant!

Gloriously faded splendour in the main house, with more modern accommodation in the Orangerie

    Poor pillows

    Picturesque Chateau in lovely park.

We stayed in one of the chalets in the woods. Recently refurbished and very comfy and stylish. The evening meal was very good, I had Fois Gras and my partner king prawn. Both going but the Pink gigot of lamb with dauphinois potatoes was exceptionnel

Beautiful chateau with large, beautifully landscaped grounds. Our room was large, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was served in a lovey dining room with many delicious choices. Staff were very pleasant.

Room adequate if a little dated. The cottages are a bit 1970s Butlins but they are what they are!

Certainly cottages are a bit dated and good job there hidden away from the chateau itself so as to not spoil first impressions.

The shower was good. The staff were helpful

Toilet roll dispenser not working, noisy heater - had to turn it off. Breakfast coffee was unpleasant. No teabags or milk with the facility tray had to trek to the main building to collect a roll of toilet paper and a couple of teabags! Breakfast not good value for 11 euros each. Old fag ends outside the front door.

Breakfast was served in the main House on the ground floor in a beautifully decorated room and was very good.Dinner the previous evening had been in the restaurant situated underneath the hotel and was excellent. The grounds are extensive and seem to contain a wedding venue on one side which was set up for what looked to be a large wedding party. We stayed in the Orangery which was yet another large wedding venue. Our room was well appointed and very comfortable.

The chateau itself is stunning, very traditional. And the restaurant staff/food were incredible! This was the last stop on a 9 day Europe road trip, so it was a great backdrop for photos!

Outdated bedroom decor and furnishings, dirty carpets, massive party beneath our rooms causing disrupting sleep. No coffee/tea facilities in rooms. Also the area near to the chateau is not very nice.

Our superior double room was spacious. Not much hanging space, but as we only stayed for one night, not a problem. Breakfast was good.

We had dinner in the "le 109" Restaurant and found it very disappointing. We opted for a main course and desert. My wife's main course was fish with tagliatelle .The fish was tasteless with many bones and my wife wife did not eat very much. We noticed another guest had the same food and she left the restaurant with most of her food uneaten. My meat course we difficult to chew or cut, so again a lot was left. For desert, we both ordered a different tart. We were impressed that the waitress remembered who had ordered which tart, as she did not have to ask. After she had left the room we noticed we both had the same tart i.e. not what was ordered. The staff were only in the room to deliver food, so there was no one to speak to when there was a problem. There was a candle on the table and it would have helped if it had been lit during the meal to create atmosphere and to enable us to see a little better.

Beautiful chateau. Our room was in the Orangery - comfortable, quiet and elegant. The grounds are lovely and we enjoyed a nice walk having been in the car for several hours!! We enjoyed a leisurely breakfast overlooking the grounds. Coffee was served by a very pleasant gentleman. Breakfast was continental style with a good selection. The croissants were amazing!

We were disappointed the restaurant was closed, but did understand as it was Sunday evening.

    Don't stay here.

When I arrived in my bungalow room, which from outside looked rather tired, the chemical smell was very strong. The tea/coffee tray was dirty with used cups. The sheets were stained and soon realised the smell was probably for killing the ants that were in the room. Further there were gaps in the planked floor which had accumulated a lot of dirt. The phone was not working so I could not even speak to reception, which was inconveniently a good 10 min walk away. My brother in a separate bungalow room, had the same issue re smell and obvious ant problem. The corners of his room were filthy as well. I found a housekeeper in another bungalow to complain about cups and sheets, she rinsed the cup under a tap for a few seconds to "clean" it and changed the sheet. However it all left a bad feeling and we decided to leave immediately. The receptionist offered me another room but to be honest I just felt I didn't want to stay somewhere where they believed that standard was ok. Further he did not offer another room to my brother and my father who were also travelling with me. It was cheap but you should still expect to have a clean room for your stay. I had to pay regardless as the hotel manager would not even come and discuss the issue with me at the desk, we were tired and just wanted to find somewhere else. Do not stay here.

We travelled by motorcycle and had booked the ‘bungalows’ we were able to park outside our bungalows which was a great help for loading unloading and safety too.Mini bar prices were very reasonable too.

In our experience they only gripe was there no ‘bar’ but there was a waiting service.
