Ibis Cambrai

Comfortable bed, enough space in the room, enough outlets, desk space, good lighting

It took a while to figure out the heating, electric unit with a knob as thermostat but no instructions.The shower floor was high above the bathroom floor, No elevator

Comfortable bed. Nice shower. Not far from town. Good breakfast.

Room smelt of body odour.

It was comfortable, mostly clean (there was a rather nasty stain on the carpet near the bathroom!) and the breakfast was good. The onsite parking was good as the gate gets locked at night and the concierge was extremely helpful in telling us about restaurants to eat in.

As above, the carpet didn't appear to be overly clean.

Allocated disabled room as husband has mobility issues. Asked for ground floor and hoped for near restaurant. Allocated a disabled room the furtherest away from reception /restaurant possible. Must also have been tiniest in hotel. Small double bed against wall and not even a chair in room. Hotel said situation of disabled room was nearest emergency exit, while one of the first rooms on the corridor near reception would have been so much better. Neither of us slept well.

Convenient for stop off to and from Shuttle tunnel. Near town centre and parks to walk dog.Staff friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Room very clean and comfortable. Restaurant on site with adequate food.

Bathrooms need updating.

The hotel is easy to find on the outskirts of Cambrai and has a large car park. The staff are friendly and polite, and speak good English. The rooms are comfortable, cleans, large and well appointed. The restaurant serves good value food.

Breakfast was good, but items needed to be refilled constantly.but a good variety.Evening meal was good , but more choice on the menu would be nice .

Lack of evening staff, one poor girl on her own, trying to book people in, serve at the bar and take peoples orders.

The hotel is easy to find and well-placed close to main roads and autoroutes - and it's quite quiet as well. There was ample parking on the occasion of my visit. The rooms have been fairly recently done up, with a little bit of style, and the bed was OK. Wi-Fi was excellent, although not secured. Breakfast selection was wider than in many of this type of hotel. The evening receptionist cum waiter was pleasant to deal with and talk to.

I was pleased to be able to stay demi-pension, but that said, it's not really a restaurant but rather somewhere you can get a simple evening meal with little choice or culiinary ambition. No comfortable chair in the room. I would have thought it only marginally qualifying to be *** .

The staff were very welcoming. The waiter on Sunday evening was happy to allow 2 not very hungry people to share a meal. An unexpected kindness!

The shower floor was extremely slippery and we had to lay towels down as we were really frightened we would slip and fall. We really think you need to replace these showers before the hotel faces an insurance claim. It was obvious that a previous guest had been smoking in our room (130) - not good for us - one of us has asthma and the other has a lung disease that causes breathing problems. We thought smoking was not allowed inside French hotels, especially the bedrooms.

Easy to find

Heating not working- had to try several rooms. Advertised as having a bath but only a shower was in the room.

The total bill was expensive for one night. Food was not great. Having to use key to exit room and doors need realignment

No hot food in the evening. Breakfast was poor, scrambled eggs had run out and had to be asked to get fresh, same for bacon. Staff at breakfast not very helpful

It was available when we had to find somewhere (anywhere!) at short notice. Lots of unsold rooms....?!

smell, cleanliness, decor shabby, poor value, not worth the rating higher than 1 star. Poor uninspiring very basic menu in the "restaurant".

The dinner was good value and better than usual for Ibis hotels. Pleasant surprise. Young lady on reception very helpful and pleasant
