The location was perfect, the room was big and clean even if it was quite old and outdated, breakfast was decent. Overall we had a pleasant stay and would come back.

I am not sure why this hotel claims 4 stars. I was at least expecting a lounge area with a coffee machine but nothing like that.

In the city center and near the bus station

Its on of the old five start hotel but it is very good renovated and heating is working and hot water and clean

The location and friendliness of the staff !I was able to check in late so really appreciate the 24h front desk

The location is great in the center of the city. The staff was great and helpful.

The bathroom was not clean hair everywhere on the wall in the shower. The sink in the room and not in the bathroom. The breakfast was good for the value of the money.

This was my third time in Shtern, breakfast was better before but still decent, with good selection of coffee and tea oprions.

Very clean. Great welcome at reception. My bicycle could be stalled in the courtyard.

It's very central so you might hear some noise from the city.

Its not like the picture. Very old and weird. Little WC! You will bomp your head to the door when you wanna sit.

No AC (104f temp), iron was a special order, refrigerator didn't work, no dry cleaning or laundry services. Advertised queen bed. Smaller. Just very very uncomfortable. Also no bar, no restaurant. Oh and elevator broke. Just a hugely poor experience. I would have contacted booking.com for a different hotel but the profundity of the situation. Only sunk in after I unpacked. Washclothes were not provided. Soap dispenser was broken. Room service was only cursory.

Fantastic location right on the Marktplatz. Clean, comfortable room, mine had a balcony. Large breakfast room with good food options. Be sure to order breakfast if the next day is a Sunday or holiday, because many nearby cafes will be closed, or will open up late. Easy walk to several trains or buses in different directions. The weather was warm, and thankfully there was a good fan in the room. Staff very helpful.

The single room was very spacious, with a good desk area and extra chair. The hotel was clean and very well located with plenty of restaurants close by. Within walking distance of main train station and area was safe.

There was a strange smell from the bathroom, but as I was out most of the day it didn't bother me. Breakfast options were limited compared to other hotels I've been to e.g only scrambled/boiled eggs as hot breakfast.

Not a negative just a bit weird - had to enter the hotel room through the shower and the toilet which don’t have proper doors on them. Shower had slightly low water pressure but still ok. Outdated decor but adds to the charm of the hotel and its history.

Hard mattress, low pillow, hairdryer like at the pool and the breakfast very basic. Not expected in a 4 star hotel, especially on Easter day.

Amazing hospitality with trying to accommodate my arrival time being past 2230. Gave me directions to some nearby bars to enjoy until late! Honestly, very hospitable!

The hotel is on the main market square in a historical building. It has an excellent breakfast, and next door a good restaurant. The room was good, well-equipped and comfortable.

The window view over one of the main squares next to Rathaus costs all the money you pay for it. Located in the heart of the city and close proximity to the main railway station and any other transport you need, the hotel has a rich history spanning over several centuries. What a pleasure it was to stay there and enjoy all the interior!

Excellent location, in the very center with a view over the Market square of Bonn.
