Hotel Shamrock

A very pleasant hotel about 1km from the centre of Tielt with its medieval buildings. The hotel is close to the ring road and appears to mainly cater to business travellers. That said it was comfortable, the staff exceptional and the food brilliant! I'd stay again.

The breakfast is OKish but nothing special and pretty 'low budget'.

This is a very comfortable hotel. The room had everything you would expect. The staff were very helpful and friendly and also the breakfast was great.

The accommodation was standard (though showing its age a little) and fine for a one night stop-over. Also the sound-proofing between rooms is not great. We enjoyed the pleasure of having a good-sized bath, which is an unusual asset in similar hotels.

Having groups of rather impolite men standing around smoking outside the main entrance was a little disconcerting, though I suppose this is outside management's control.

Lovely quiet room, great staff. We were offered a ride to the station by the receptionist, which was very helpful. Meal of the day in the restaurant was great value.

Comfortable and well equipped room. Friendly staff. Lively Tapas restaurant. Good choice for breakfast. Good value for money.

hotel Shamrock is a great deal. Large rooms...even standard rooms. Nice floors. comfortable beds. Staff excellent. Best caffe/restaurant in neibourhoud. Not expensive. will come again!

Tricky to find, had to drive through a housing estate. Only one bottle of water in the room, not enough for 2 people.

Very good and friendly staff, Mark I think came to pick us up from the station just out of his kindness..

Good sized room, wide range of channels on the TV and a generous sized en-suite. The overall ambience was good and the breakfast was superb, exceeding my expectations. A really good experience and I will re-book for future visits.

Way, way below expectations. Extremely noisy rooms.

The room door slides and you have to push loudly to open it, thus disturbing the other guests.There is not a full, long mirror: there is only one in the bathroom which fogs up immediately after the shower.There is no power plug at the desk for working on the PC.The room is extremely noisy, you can even hear when the neighbor goes to the bathroom: disgusting!!!!

Breakfast was standard European

Staff overall were mainly friendly, but whilst eating our buffet style breakfast ( which I thought was a help yourself style ), one of the staff said 'all you have been doing is eat, eat, eat', in a very nasty tone, which made us feel abused and feel small in front of other guest's

About 50% of the hotel is renewed and the other half is renovated I believe, we stayed in a standard room so I can not tell how the new rooms are. The renovated room was clean and a good size, only the bathroom is becoming a bit dated as the water taps are old fashion and the tiling is looking tired. Breakfast was OK

Room prices we paid were different from the prices stated in the room directory, I found that a bit strange to be fair.
