- I met some lovely people here and the location wasn't bad. You do get views over the city too. Unfortunately, there is more on the side that I didn't like for this stay that what I enjoyed.
- It was only a 20 min walk from the old town
Cons -
- There are no lockers in the rooms, and offering a locker downstairs isn't satisfactory for me. I am not coming downstairs every time I need something out of my locker. The rooms were dirty; the flooring was definitely not cleaned recently when I arrived. The rooms are also very crowded, there is barely any room to get into your suitcase, let alone store it and try and move around the room, which meant my stay wasn't very comfortable. The kitchen was dingy and located in the basement, which gave me horror theme feelings as I walked through there. I walked in and walked out and decided I was just going to buy food out instead of going back there. If I went back to Aachen I wouldn't stay here.
- Wasn’t the cleanest, our bed sheets were dirty but we just asked for new ones, also the toilet smelled bad.
- Low on safety. In the night of 26.12.2025 at 1:10 a man tried to open our door lock room 420 with a keycard which wakes us all up. He say "good morning" in English (maybe eastern Europe accent and not drunken) to check if somebody was in. Does not seems that he accidentally mixed the room. I did not open so he went away after asking what he wants. The emergency exit in the ground floor is open without activating alarm - I saw strange people exiting and sitting on the stairs, who don't seems to be guests.

Breakfast and receptionist nice and customer centric.

Location and staff
Bed was dirty. I was lucky because I always carry my duet and sheets with me. Walls are like cardboard and in next room a guy was snoring. I couldn’t sleep.
I am surprised about some of the bad comments. I had 7 nights there. The stuff was very helpful. Also they clean the room ( toilet ) several times. the price and the location near the train station is good.
concerning the security maybe. I mean if share the room with people that you don't know it could be not that safe. So I slept with my bag near my pillow and I was whole day outside. So for me it was okay. Also after two days I grouped with people in the room that I started to know them so it was better. I think the hostel is the best for family like 2 parents and kids they take whole room, or a group. But in general for me it was good experience. I wanted to save money to spend more on food which actually perfectly worked.
It is located few minutes away from the train station. Very friendly and helpful staff. 20 minutes of walking to historical center.
A bit of noisy due to trains.
Female room luggage room
The kitchen is not equipped
Location and price
Pillows could be better, the room hallways could be better ventilated
Great location, clean
NO LOCKERS. There is nowhere safe to put your valuables in the dorms
I like the most is the staff. The young man who checked me in is very nice, he gave me the feeling that I was going to have a nice stay. Next day I met another staff Marcos, he is so nice! If I hadn't already booked another place, I would extend my stay. I will stay here again when I visit this area again.
I liked the location due to its proximity to the center of town.
It cost to hire towels. The facilities weren’t that clean and were difficult to navigate (outdated elevator, gross and tiny refrigerator, and crummy bed layout in the room; a woman was sleeping on the floor in my room and I accidentally stepped on her!). The staff was apathetic at best. I did not feel welcomed and the overall amenities and atmosphere was dingy and depressing to be honest.
The beds were very comfortable and the location was convenient.
The members of staff are not the brightest. They gave me a room and a bed number. Then woke me up in de middle of the night (with security) to tell me that they overbooked the room and questioning whether or not I was in the correct room. Next day I thought I had straightened it all out. Only to find another stranger in my bed that afternoon because the staff had given my the wrong bed number. The level of service is not good at this hostel. Also the kitchen smells terrible. There are not many utensils to work with.
Great location for walking, shopping, sightseeing, and restaurants. Good breakfast. Friendly staff.
(+) Close to station. Typical hostel. Need to renovate.
(-) Far away from city center. There is no closet, hanger, chair and table. Poor breakfast. Carparking is expensive, it could be complimentary.
The location is good and staffs are so friendly.
It is in the near of train station, so it is loud when the trains come.
The location, price and stuff were great
Elevators on my floor didn’t work. When I arrived and it was one hour after check-in time, my room was not ready yet and I left without taking a shower after a long journey
I liked price of booking
I didnt liked that right elevator button for 4th floor didnt work and i have hurt leg soo it was pait to get to 4th floor beucase on right elevator people leave open door soo its is really hard to get to 4th floor when you have legs in pain...
Staff is always friendly good vibes great location next to the train station what more can u ask for?
Horrible experience
They make you check in yourself and make the bed, the staff were kind but lied to me about my situation with a future booking that needed to be canceled. When I arrived they changed the room I have booked and put me with a literal homeless woman that kept me up all night. Long battle with booking.com to cancel my next stay there but they were too cheap to let 14 euros go away. 0 stars. The bathroom didn't have ventilation and you always hear the trains passing by and train station announcements as if you are in the train station. Worst stay of my life and I have been in thousand hostels
