The location can't be beat and the personnel, when present, are pleasant and helpful. The beds are cozy and the linens are fine. There is an old world feeling to the hotel and view from our windows was excellent. The windows are sound proof enough to muffle the noise from the Christmas Market late night revelers.

There is an elevator for luggage ONLY but a hotel employee needs to be present to make it function. There are 17 stairs per flight so if you have bad knees, you need to avoid this hotel since all rooms are on the 2nd floor (US) or higher.There is no coffee/tea bar in the room or the rest of the hotel which was sorely missed on cold days. Apparently, we could have asked for a heating coil and coffee cups?There is no refrigerator in the room. We used the window sills for things we wanted kept cold.The shower doors in our bathroom were coming off the runners.There is no one there manning the office most of the day.There is no breakfast option. If you are an early riser, there are some cafes nearby which open early.

When I was there the lift was out of action. This was quite a big issue as I was perched on the fourth floor and had a very heavy suitcase. The staircase is quite narrow and corkscrews sharply, so it was quite a struggle getting my suit case up and down. I REALLY hope that this gets fixed soom. The only blot on an otherwise perfect stay.

Hotel room felt like home, nicely decorated with artsy furniture.

Elevator for luggage is only operating in the morning hours when the front desk is open.

Location was great, in the middle of the main square next to the city hall and restaurants all around, walking distance to the main aera of Aachen that we wanted to see

It was clean, great location, nice room of a very nice size. Housekeeping available all days.

Front desk only staffed 8-11am, no lift, dark stairwell (perhaps motion sensor lights were broken) and no real building amenities.

Had a beautiful room on fourth floor. Had everything I needed, including a fan.

Location was excellent. Very clean and comfortable.

The remote online check in when cycling in a rainstorm was a bit of a nuisance but we did receive help and it all worked out.

Clean,basic hotel in a great location (edge of the main square). Helpful staff but limited front desk hours. We stayed in the two bed suite . Plenty of room and plenty of windows that open. Only one flight up. Parking is in the public garage about a block from the square (we packed carry-ons for a one night stay). Decor is slightly dated but it is a good choice for a short stay to see the ancient cathedral and historic center of Aachen. Building is old, no AC or public lounge or breakfast but a very nice room.

Excellent location in the Altstadt. Roomy wardrobe. Kettle for teamaking available on request. Stand for luggage of both occupants to be off the floor. Keypad entry worked well. Good value accommodation

Orange colour scheme in our room. More like an airbnb than a hotel because staff were only on site a few hours each morning. No fridge in the room. Pillows too soft.

Directly in the centre. Everything is in walking distance.

The bed was not comfortable. I had to wait a long time to have warm water and the water in thd shower was not warm enough.

Heating system defects just destroyed my rest! Some terrible noise in the radiators in the night doesn't let you sleep...The hotel didn't make any refund and never even contacted to apologize, it's a shame. I really want the hotel owner and manager to spend a night there, to feel how their guest are tortured. Like in prison or hell, it shouldn't be so

This location cannot be beaten. The hotel is located meters from the Aachen Christmas Market.Rooms are clean and look good.Free WiFi available.Friendly staff.Easy, automated, check-in process.
