Alex Maastricht

The room was modern, clean, and quiet even though it is above restaurants and bars below. The staff are friendly and helpful. Since this is a historical building, there isn't an elevator however I didn't mind using the stairs while I stayed in the hotel.

It was a great unit and was available randomly and worked perfectly for our needs. The staff were helpful even when we got lost finding it.

Good Location , friendly staff

I stayed in room 19 and unfortunately had a very uncomfortable experience. There is no lift, the windows are not soundproof, and the noise from the nearby bar made it nearly impossible to sleep. The room itself was also very small.

We were here one night for a concert and appreciated the comfy beds. We also got the breakfast, which was perfect. Staff was very friendly. We appreciated the little hand-written notes and candies in the room too.

The shape of the room was a little strange, with one side of the bed right up against the window. The room was clean but there was a noticeable sewage smell in the bathroom (we noticed this a few times walking around too, though, so it could have been a more generalized problem in the neighborhood that day).

Great location, super clean and stylish rooms, friendly staff, and nice breakfast.

Size of the rooms

Room was good, but no lift so we had to caa=arry our bags up three levels, The staff helped us when e left. Breakfast and the staff were ecellent

The staff was fantastic and the room was much larger than I anticipated. It was great to have the restaurant right downstairs. As well, the location is in a great spot. I was able to easily walk around the city.

The room had no phone. Not a bad thing per se. But if you were traveling without a cell, you would have to go down flights of stairs to ask a question.

Nice roomy suite near the bus station. Walkable to anywhere in town. Super friendly staff at the restaurant/hotel. Received excellent recommendations.

Footsteps from the above apartment easily heard. We had active kids or heavy persons above us.

Location is perfect. Everything is walkable from the hotel.

The breakfast was just wonderful and the location was practical but it feels like you are in the middle of the city. The staff was friendly and room was spacious, clean and nice.

Staff/Guests keep chatting in front of the room doors in tge morning. Due to poor isolation, it can be annoying if you plan to have a long morning sleep.

We stayed at the Alex Maastricht because we came to see the Andre Rieu show (which was also amazing) so the location was perfect, as it was close to the station, in a quiet spot with a nice view. The room was lovely - clean, fresh and modern, with a comfy bed and pillows. There were thoughtful extras and a coffee pod machine with brownies as a treat. The dinner was superb! The little touches such as free snacks and delicious bread made us feel spoilt and the food was exceptional. Staff were friendly and attentive and made us feel welcome.

There was nothing that we didn't like. I think the only recommendation would be for the breakfast to have a couple of options added to it. Don't get me wrong, it was delicious, but not quite as good as the dinner the night before which was amazing!

Everything. Alex is a little gem at a great location in Maastricht. We stayed in one on the smaller rooms which was very comfortable, bright, and spotless clean. Breakfast is super and staff are very welcoming and helpful.
