    Pros +

    • Great location, free tea and coffee all day. Nice breakfast
    • Great location. Friendly staff.
    • The location was perfect, amenable to the markets and short walk from shops. We chose the location as we thought it was close to where the Andre Rieu concert was going to be and didn't realise it was a different venue as we were there for a summer concert last year but the staff were exceptionally helpful in getting us a taxi so it was grand.

    Cons -

    • Bed a bit too soft
    • Upon arriving our bathroom had a very strong drainage smell. What made it worse was that there was no door to the bathroom, so the smell came into the entire room. Not having a room in the bathroom was already quite uncomfortable and I would have liked knowing that upfront.
    • We weren't too keen on the stairs at the start but got used to them better each day but we realise there is nothing you can do about that. Loved the decor and ambience of the bar area and the overall sense of keeping the character of a very old building.

Good location, friendly staff, nice interior, clean, good bed.

Noisy, had to sleep with earplugs. Bathroom smelled like sewer. I paid almost 250 for one night and that is not worth it.

The room was pleasant, with an extremely clean bathroom, and plenty of space. We appreciated the breakfast, which was tasty. Our host, Jules, was also very helpful.

The bed was somewhat too soft for me, though my partner found it fine.

Charm of our room , and hotel. Fabulous location

Nothing but possibly cost of breakfast- very expensive for Australians

    10DavidPosted on: 10-12-2025

Excellent central location. Very friendly and hospitable host. The breakfast was splendid with something to suit all tastes. Very comfortable and atmospheric with a sense of quirkiness. Spacious rooms

Nothing to add about the stay. Be careful about access by car, unloading at the hotel is possible but then one has to find a parking lot. The one recommended by the host whch is a short walk away was excellent.

Very good hotel and location. Staff very helpful.

Cleaners insisted on coming in to my room when I was still there. Reception said they were new.

Lovely friendly & flexible team, a stunning art deco bar/ coffee area & cosy lounge, simple rooms of good taste & proper windows (fresh air & views), coffee & tea maker & cold water bottles always available, great breakfast! Wonderful centralLocation!

Nothing. Just know that as a tall building of narrow stairs, it will challenge people who cannot walk or climb easily

The stairs !!!!! We were one top floor !!!!

The location is perfect, close to all the events and historical part of the city, the building is old and luxury, room is as nice, as it is shown at the pictures, administrators are polite, everything is clean.

Though the price for the stay is quite high itself, you need to pay quite a lot extra, even tea/coffee is not inscluded, there is a coffiemachine downstairs, but one can't use it for free. Same with parking. No airconditioning, as the building is quite historical. We had a ventilator in our room, but it didn't want to collaborate with us, we had a room on the sunny side, so during summer it can be really hot there, and to open the windows during the night is also not an option - there is quite loud neighbourhood. Some hooks for the towels could make our stay also more convenient.

    Good

Too hot in the room. Fan was not enough to cool the place down.

    7AnthonyPosted on: 6-13-2025

Location and staff great. Room a little lacking in finishing ie no tea coffee facilities in the room. No complimentary bottle of water etc

Great location! Friendly staff. Room was excellent. Breakfast was good.

Very stylish decor and well thought out hotel. Staff were friendly without taking up lots of time - check in was mercifully brief too!

Could re consider lighting and increase the number of hooks in the room. WiFi was also quite weak but these are quite minor improvements as my stay was really lovely

Would definitely stay here again. Location was great and the room we booked was spacious, clean and modern. Highly recommended staying here.

The theme of the hotel is all about traveling and the decoration is build on suitcases.

The parking is not close by. But the host can give some options.
