Location, breakfast, ancient ruins

Breakfast should include porridge and more fresh fruits. How about sausage and baked beans.

The lift was very slow and the bathroom could do without a bath, just a good shower, and a greater variety of washing products.

Not value for money

The breakfast was very dissapointing. An hour before end of breakfast there was no bread or croissants left. We had to ask for several refills of buffet which took a long time. Other guests even came after us and were told there was no bread left. Most tables were not cleared during the entire time we were in the breakfast area. Furthermore the chair in the hotelroom was filthy, so much so that we did not even want to sit in it. When complaining at the front desk I only got excuses. For a hotel like Derlon this is unacceptable.

Location is perfect

Apartment with 2 bedrooms was double booked. so they gave me 1 room with 1 double bed... after I persisted it was changed to 2 single rooms...Tourist tax charged in the hotel was 20% more then what Booking mentioned in their confirmation and ended up to be 50% above the official rate listed on the Maastricht municipal website for a 4 star hotel... this left a bad feeling on how the hotel tries to make extra money.

Location of the apartment

Its huge apartment , two floors, but very old style. We checked in with two teenagers, and 1 adult. Two teenagers stayed in the bedroom at upper floor, where I slept on a mobile single bed in the living room . Some of the lights didn't work, the apartment is very old style.

Built on Roman ruins (viewable in basement breakfast area); fabulous location on small plaza with outdoor restaurant (and seating by hotel entrance for a drink), a block or so from parking and the river; etc.

Attitude of staff (check in ) really poor, no real greeting on arrival. My room was not ready, no welcome , have a drink while you wait.. just a stock reply "you will need to wait until 3.00pm" I had to remind them at 2.45 and she said yes your room is now ready! the room decor was tired with marks on paintwork , flooring at edges broken, toilet was dirty and dust on the bedside table. House keeping not to the standerd expected. Breakfast was decidedly average with over cooked pastries.

Excellent location! Great staff - extremely helpful. We had a suite which tourney out to be better than expected. A large balcony!

Perfect location. Stayed in the two bedroom s as apartments. Fabulous!!… and receptionist was wonderful!

The property was beautiful and I like the location

The service. Was not welcome appropriately.(I don’t think at all) Had no clue that there was a Roman Ruin beneath us. Our friend, who recommended the hotel and why we were visiting Maastricht, told us about it. Of course when we asked to see it, it was close. checked in wasn’t educated on the room or services.

They let me pay city tax 119 before leaving the hotel which i already paid in booking the price of hotel rooms
