Hotel Van der Valk Maastricht

Wow. Now this is what I call a great hotel. Here are the information about my stay: The room was so clean and the beds were super comfortable. The lunch and dinner and the breakfast too were all super tasty. When we slept, we didn’t get disturbed at all. And the staff were nice and the location was perfecto. So overall, this hotel met our expectations. I will definitely come back to this beautiful hotel, which I recommend visiting it!

The room was nice and modern. There is convenient parking with plenty of spaces. I liked the 24/7 self-service shop at the reception. The interior was modern and welcoming.

The spa was a disappointment. The few saunas that are there would be OK as such, but there were not enough resting areas. The entire spa area was not exactly pleasant, fairly cold vibe. The fitness center is a joke, no equipment and small. The mats were filthy.

A car park near to the highway and convention centre! Helpful reception staff.

Everything is absolutely beautiful. The staff is amazing and kind, the room is nicely decorated and comfortable. Would recommend it in a heartbeat.

I was a bit clumsy with the heat system, I could not make it go up to 20 degrees from 18,5. Still we slept very well so no biggie.

Location is great, right beside the highway A2 and not too far away from the city center of Maastricht and other tourist destinations in the area such as Valkenburg, “Drielandenpunt”, “Mergellandroute” and fairly close to the cities of Liège (B) and Aachen (D) as well.

Very nice venue, great food and really kind staff

The room could have been cleaner. The coffee machine was broken. The shower and toilet had brown/orange spots.

The bed was comfortable and the bistro staff was nice.

Not sufficient drinks in the room, not very clean! Breakfast was poor not sufficient variety, not very well organised. Staff not very welcoming when checking in, didn't explain how to get to our room, but upon checking out staff friendly & helpful.

Lovely, friendly staff and great location. The hotel is right beside a bus stop that brings you into Maastricht. We were there for a concert and the hotel staff were extremely helpful offering advice on bus shuttles to venue. The hotel is beautiful with great amenities. We didn't get to use the spa but the surroundings were extremely relaxing and peaceful.

When we first arrived there was a horrible smell in our room from the bathroom. When we ran the water the smell disappeared. We mentioned this at the desk and she said that it's a common issue but it would be nice to have the room fresh when going into it, especially as we had to ask for new towels that day also as the smell of them was as if they'd been sitting damp.

The breakfast was great. The swimming pool was big enough with bright and spacious placement. The food in the restaurant was also good.Especially the staff was great, polite and helpful.

There was no slipper and at least 2 bottle of water in the room, I was expecting what I paid for the room. Also, as I said the breakfast was great but I hope they can offer a little more for desserts.

Perfectly functional modern hotel located near the university where we attended a conference (although due to the adjacent motorway not very readily accessible on foot). Comfortable beds and courteous staff. Good parking right outside. Good quality meals in the restaurant with an entertaining maitre d'.

A bit soul-less and rather expensive.

Friendly stuff. Free and tasty coffee capsules in room were provided. Nice swimming pool.Huge free parking. Possibility to charge EV on hotels parking. Good but some expensive restaurant.

Rather expensive breakfast.No bath robes were in room, u have to get it from reception with some deposit.

The room was spacious and there are many parking spaces in front of the hotel l.

The room we got was towards highway and therefore a bit noisy. The breakfast is too expensive for this type of hotel.

The breakfast buffet was amazing. There was a bus stop right by the hotel to get to the city center.

We informed about renting bikes at the hotel to be able to get to the city center without having to depend on the bus. But we would have had to bring them back at 8 PM which would have defeated the purpose.

No breakfast included; extra to be paid to have a room on the quiet side ; coming out of the elevator there is no sign to the room numbers plug too far for the computer when sitting on the desk
