Cousins Boutique Hotel

The room was beautiful!

We chose Cousins for our stay as the reviews looked amazing! Unfortunately we did not have the same experience as all those great reviews. Firstly, not a warm welcome. Basically asked if we wanted a drink and shown to our room. Young lady (maybe she was new) wasn’t able to answer any of our questions, for example is breakfast available/included? She said she wasn’t sure. In my opinion something she should have been able to answer. I don’t think she cracked a smile and seemed “busy”. Other than that we received zero information.Communication wasn’t good, at all.If you are someone who likes/needs bathroom privacy this room is not for you. Basically a glass door, you can hear any “bathroom noises”.Also no sound proofing so you hear all noise upstairs, walking up/down the stairs, outside. Which doesn’t make for a restful sleep.

Great service, great location, great breakfast.

The room has some minor layout issues. Shower is excellent but the design made it hard to move without hitting the water lever. The light on the mirror also lit up the room too much. Other mior design flaws, but a nice place

The hotel was cosy and comfortable, with exquisite design. Located in a very quiet street but 2 minutes walking distance from Vrijthof. The beds were very comfortable and the staff extremely helpful and pleasant.

Remarkable rooms, decorated in a tasteful, fancy yet slightly unusual style. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast is nice and cozy with fresh made food. Parking a in my opinion a bit overpriced, but well, apparently that is the going rate in Maastricht.

From entering the hotel until leaving the next day the service was great. I had a job the day after my stay and could leave the car on the parking of the hotel for the day. The breakfast was perfect!

I can't come up with anything that we didn't like.

such a cool little hotel! the whole concept and story behind it adds a lot to the experience, the Cousins and the staff are really friendly and super helpful, and the room was one of the coolest I’ve ever been to! and the bed! so comfy and huge! if I’m ever back in town I will choose this place again for sure! the breakfast was also delicious, truly a 10/10 experience

We loved our 2 night stay in this comfortable and stylish boutique hotel. As other reviewers have mentioned, the attention to service and detail here is exceptional. We were guided to our secure parking spot (extra charge) and bags were taken to the room whilst we were checked in with a complimentary glass of Prosecco & chocolate, and the history of the hotel was explained to us. We had booked a standard room but were upgraded to a deluxe room with bath. The room was "Rose" and had the wow factor; spacious with beautiful decor, huge bed, TV with Apple TV, bath in room and separate shower, high end toiletries & Dyson hairdryer, Nespresso machine & fridge. My only minor negative would be that "Rose" room is ground floor and at the front so a bit noisy from street plus guests above - luckily I only travel With ear plugs!

Cousins was the perfect boutique hotel--interestingly decorated, plenty of space, excellent and imaginative breakfasts and friendly and attentive staff. We really enjoyed our stay. The location was central but off the main road and a very quiet road.

Can't think of anything I didn't like.

Staff, room, location were all excellent !!

Location is perfect, in the heart of Maastricht. The rooms, and the entire hotel, are designed in a special style. Perhaps the design is not of particular importance for a 1-2 day stay, but a beautiful unusual interior adds a pleasant touch to the trip. Also, the attitude of the staff and the quality of the breakfasts are beyond praise.

Firstly, the very warm welcome we received....The fabulous comfortable bed.....The beautiful modern interior....The Super Cleanliness....The fresh breakfast every morning.....The secure parking....We loved hearing about the history of the hotel.......Joe and Jean are wonderful hosts and Kate is lovely....Nothing was too much trouble....The Location is Superb.... We have already recommended this hotel to our family and friends.

Our stay at the Cousin's Boutique Hotel exceeded all our expectations, from the friendly welcome to the beautiful room and lovely breakfast it was the perfect stay. The location is excellent for exploring the beautiful old city of Maastricht and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip.

Great vibe, excellent breakfast, nicely decorated rooms and great staff! Oh yeah lets not forget the delicious local wine as welcome drink!
