Pros +
- Amazing building at the heart of the city with very lovely interior and middle garden , the room was sufficiently spacious, clean and warm , the point we didn’t enjoyed is the bad , despite the description was king size bed , it was 2 splitted beds put together temporarily that we felled down from the middle , it shouldn’t be the case at a wonderful hotel . The other point is the price difference for the weekend was almost 4-5 times the average .
- Very authentic boutique hotel in the right the center of the city, near main square and sightseeing places. Staff is so helpful, they even fixed my suitcase wheel? Inside of the hotel is very beautiful and well decorated. Breakfast is great and delicious. It is worth more than its price. I loved to stay there.
- The room was large with a luxurious bathroom. Location was perfect
Cons -
- The bed and the price
- It being an old building there was no lift so all rooms seemed to have stairs
- The morning breakfast was presented to us as if it was included. It was never stated or posted as an additional cost to the guests. It was a traditional Dutch breakfast (everything was fresh and delicious) which we always enjoy however it would have been nice to know it was 22€ additional charge per person upfront.

Small, quaint hotel, near the central square. Amazing breakfast spread for an extra cost. Lovely, quiet garden for an afternoon coffee, tea, drink.
Faculty was wonderful and a great location for tourists!

The owners of the hotel have gone out of their way to create a lovely ambience. There is a very pleasant courtyard garden, away from the hustle and bustle of the bars of Maastricht. Our room was in the top of the house and very quiet. The location is good, in the older, more interesting part of town. There is a great choice for breakfast.
Extremely well located near the action but on a quiet side street. Old world charm with a beautiful breakfast room and garden. Accommodating staff. Great stay!
This is a small boutique hotel in the heart of Maastricht. The location, staff, and room were all really great. The room was big, clean, and comfortable, and had all that I needed. The little courtyard is charming.
Overall, it was a very good experience, but a few small things could be better. The pillows were not comfortable, and when asked if they had a softer one, I was told they would check, but they never got back to me. Safe and aircon were not working. There is no lift so it was a bit hard with the suitcases, but they helped.
Like: Good location, historic building Not so positive: bit dated bedrooms, no soundproofing so I heard every other guest in my part of the building come in, climb the stairs, go in the bathroom. It is really more a bed and breakfast, so check in times is limited and when I wanted to leave at 8 the breakfast was still being set up. Not a problem for me but better to call it a B&B, instead of Hotel Botticelli, it has a more family like atmosphere and less amenities than a hotel.
Lovely little hotel right in the centre of Maastricht. Clean and comfy rooms, nice little patio where you can have breakfast in the sun. Very kind staff.
Attic room was quite warm.
Visiting son at the university - excellent location. Warm and friendly staff in a historic building. Highly recommended.
Close to the Vrijthof, bus stop to station close by. very nice place. Liked the Italian atmosphere. Friendly hosts.
Very charming boutique hotel. This was my second stay in Botticelli and I hope to come back soon. The hotel is furnished with character and has a lovely courtyard.Great location. Very close to Vrijthof Square; nice restaurants; historical sights and to the shopping area.My room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was good.
An excellent little hotel right in the heart of Maastricht. Within walking distance of everything. Room was small but perfect for a couple of nights. Beautiful old breakfast room and lots of choice to enjoy.
Cant think of anything really. Maybe some scramble eggs for breakfast. Also a toaster would be a great addition.Generally though it is a great place and will transport you back to a time when we used to get better service.
Location is prime. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful . They make your stay feel like home. The hotel has a nice garden
Clean, bright, unusual Italian theme, pretty garden for summer. Ideal for visiting Maastricht in centre.Lovely breakfast.
The boutique style and courtyard
There was an issue with checking in after check in hours. I was delayed and in transit. And since I’m from Canada. I do not turn my phone on while in Europe. So the hotel was trying to call me but I don’t have my phone available. They could have also sent me an email to let me know about the after hour check in. Got to the hotel and we stopped a local on the street to call some number on the door buzzer.
There was nobody at checkin thus was never able to check in. They took my money and have ZERO communication since. Avoid at all costs! Ended up booking a hotel somewhere else, but never got a refund.
Great location and lovely courtyard garden for relaxing in. We stayed for 3 nights in 3 different rooms and all were spotlessly clean.
The hotel is a minute or so away from the Vrijthof square (famous for the Andre Reiu concerts) and where there are many restaurants to chose from. Close too to the vast shopping centre. There is a lovely garden patio at the back where breakfast can be taken on good days
It might have been nice to have a drink later in the day but the salon and dining area is closed in the evening. Breakfast was ok but pricy if all you can face in the morning is a coffee and a toast!
