Pros +
- I like the location and big room
- We enjoyed the interesting style of furnishings and decor in our small room which had a lovely clean en-suite and a comfortable bed. The breakfast lounge offers facilities for making hot drinks and there is a well stocked mini bar with very reasonable prices. We are grateful to Marcel the owner for making himself available to assist us with a problem of our own doing, and being friendly and helpful.
- Location ; comfy bed and pillows
Cons -
- I didn't see anybody from the service
- It is a sad fact that in this modern age, that there is an increasing absence of personal staff present to greet you and guests are expected to let themselves in and find their way around. When we had a problem we didn’t know where to turn as there was no one at the property, after trying several different phone numbers and emails, thankfully the owner answered us after 20 mins and willingly came to our assistance, but this was the only time we saw him during our stay.
- It was tooo cold in the room. No toaster or microwave oven in the kitchen

Great location and very comfortable room. Nice lounge area for all guests too
The property is in a good location and walking distance to the centre of Maastricht, supermarket and shops
We were in an annex building around the corner which had more of an air b&b feel than hotel as the room wasn’t cleaned during our stay and we did not meet any staff during our stay. We collected and dropped off our key in the key box outside the property and had no communication with management to see how our stay was. Rooms are basic and no soundproofing. Stairs is extremely steep and there is nobody to help with luggage.
Poor
No cleaning at all during my stay in the hotel, only changing the towel and tidying up the bedsheet.
Great location, just a short walk into the town, lovely room and very nice staff.
Nothing to point out
Hotel Pastis welcomes you with charm, friendliness, warmth and comfort. We booked Hotel Pastis as we were in town for the Andre Rieu concert - great location, 750m walk from the Main Square, and far enough out of town to be quiet and peaceful. The rooms and bathroom was excellent - very well decorated, and incredibly comfortable. Breakfast buffet each morning in the communal dining room was perfectly adequate too. All in all, a great place to stay. We would definitely return to Hotel Pastis.
nothing negative to say :)
Perfect location perfect breakfast perfect hosts
Budget room is basic ,comfortable would definitely stay again and recommend although choose another room (that was all was available)
Easy going with a style of ii’s own great staff great breakfast nothing too much trouble An easy walk in the centre of town
All good
Very charming and unique decor and design. Free coffee and tea and use of garden and cellar. Beautiful surroundings.
The “private” bathroom in the room is a walk-in and not ideal when travelling with someone who’s not family.
In a lovely area, ideal pretty 15min walk to the centre. Two good restaurants just up the road. Accommodation basic (the room we stayed in top floor at the back had high windows so couldn’t see out but we only slept here so that was fine). Clean, traditional, staff extremely friendly. Free coffee machine downstairs.
Didn’t have a window to view from (unless we stood in the bed).
Even if the room (number 1) was very good, I woke up very early everyday because ot the noice comming from kitchen.
lovely building and decoration, good communication with host, arrival uncomplicated . Ability to access kitchen to get drinks anytime and sit in the back or front. Brilliant breakfast . Local access.
Room without view and fairly basic, but this met our needs and was at a good price.
Fantastic location, cozy comfortable room, helpful and friendly staff, all you could ask for!
The location was great for biking into town or to the grotto. The rooms were lovely with sunshine coming in, furnished to feel like a home. Check in was very easy and I liked the key system. The staff were kind and helped keep my market flowers fresh for me.
Very warm and welcoming host, excellent room with very generous comfortable bathroom, location is in walking distance from city centre and there are options for supermarkets/cafes nearby as well. Paid car parking on streets outside is always available. Can recommend
everything was fine - no issues
Breakfast. Space in the room.
The walls are a bit thin but during my stay all guests were very respectful.
Nice room, very comfortable bed. Quiet location but still centrally located, 5 minute walk to the St. Pietersberg and 15 minute walk to the Vrijthof.
Paid parking.
The location in the St Peters neighborhood. We loved the balcony in our apartment too.
There were flies and stink bugs in the bedroom when we arrived. They continued to get inside all week. The Nespresso machine leaked a lot. The kitchen could benefit from a microwave.
