Budget Hotel Le Beau Rivage

Very cozy and quiet place close to the center of Middelburg. The room was clean, warm, and comfortable. The host was friendly and helpful. I really liked the atmosphere — felt like home.

The room was a bit small, but still comfortable for one night.

The hotel is centrally located and easy to reach from the train station. The staff was friendly and check-in was smooth. The room was clean and had everything needed for a short stay.

Very steep stairs, no lift or help with luggage. Sheets had holes or torn by laundry.

We stranded with bikepacking gear… super comfortable leaving the bikes in their secured backyard. Thumbs up

We asked if we could drop off our suitcase 6 hours before check in time. The owner kept them for us till we came back to the hotel later that evening. He also offered a better room when we arrived, which we gladly accepted.

The stairs makes it almost impossible to get up with a suitcase or three.

extremely small room.very expensive for such a tiny room.a single window that only can be partly opened (40cm), facing the wall of the adjacent building.no AC and on a warm day (as we experienced) without a possibility to cooling/refreshing the room- very unpleasant experience!

All good. Nothing more to be expected from a Budget hotel where one basically want to spend the night.

Everything! Our room was very nice with a large TV, super fast Wi-Fi and was just generally well equipped. We stayed en-route to Rotterdam ferry port, so just one night, but I wish we could have stayed longer. The room was so comfortable, we logged onto Netflix on the giant telly and stayed in for the night! ?. We’d already walked around the delightful town of Middelburg all afternoon, it’s a gorgeous town with lots of character.

No kettle to make tea in the room, this is an oversight IMHO.

The owner upgraded my room for free, I couldnt be more grateful! I booked the room on the second floor, I think after knowing that I had a really heavy luggage, he was willing to upgrade the room, so I could get the room on the first floor (:
