City Hotel Gouda, WorldHotels Crafted

Cleanliness and location

Checkin was very poor. Computer scrambled everything. Staff didn?t care. Room was ok. Overall feel was very impersonal.

The room was very comfortable.

Beautiful rooms and great location

Location could not be better.

Hotel and room too hot and stuffy. I didn’t want to stay for a meal or a drink after touring so I went out

Hotel was in great location! Walking around was safe - breakfast was well worth the money! Room was spacious, loved the bath tub, great view of homes behind us - saw fireworks for New Year's Eve right out our window!

The beds were not the most comfortable, but we got used to them. That is the only thing I wish was better - made me toss & turn a little more than I would have liked. Overall the room was great - just hard beds.

The staff where very nice , and the room was great ..

I found it a bit hard to find the parking

A great location. Very quiet. Tentative and kind staff. Centralized enough but not crowded in. Great restaurant next-door. Great, beautiful bathtub.

I asked that the bathtub be cleaned and it never was. I had to do it myself. When there are bathtubs, they should be cleaned daily. I’ll make sure of it next time I go there. Thank you.

Property was clean, locatıon was really good stuf was amazıng

Room key cards not worked every day need to give them to reception

Updated and comfortable hotel within walking distance to city center. Easy paid parking close by.

Quiet room, easy parking, helpful staff.

Small annoyances, like broken coffee maker, empty hand soap dispenser, dirty floor.

Location was between train station and Old Town, which was convenient. We arrived early so our room was not ready. On our return we were upgraded to a wonderful suite, very nice and greatly appreciated. Hotel had a wonderful bar and lounge area. We had a great stay!

Everything was great

Clean , good , bike shed ,

Maybe a bottle of water in the room

The hotel boasts a great central location, within easy walking distance of all downtown attractions, making it perfect for exploring the city. Secure parking beneath the hotel added extra convenience and peace of mind. Upon arrival, the staff were exceptionally friendly safeguarding our luggage and was well-informed about the area, offering helpful tips and a warm welcome. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of space for luggage, and included thoughtful amenities such as a tea kettle and a Nespresso coffee maker.

The kitchen staff's attention to cleanliness and food handling needs work, as some “cleaned” dishes were still dirty, and bread that had been dropped was returned to the serving basket, which raised hygiene concerns. Although breakfast was good, it was very busy and at times overcrowded. Additionally, the check-in experience was disappointing as the room was not ready at the confirmed time, and we had to wait an hour. Overall, the staff could be more consistently friendly and customer-focused to enhance the guest experience. While the central location is convenient, it comes at a price. The rate felt quite high for just a one-night stay.

Very clean!

No privacy shower! No restaurant!

The location of Gouda Hotel is very near to the Marktplatz and to the town hall. Breakfast was Super delicious and the Hotel staff are very friendly. We will come back again to this hotel.

a bit pricey but overall, nice and very convenient, like Busses, tourist spots and a lot of restaurants nearby

Proximity to the centre

Rather disjointed- No reception area ( it was the bar)Dated room and poor toiletry products ( no conditioner) despite being ‘ executive room’

Location is good, hot water in shower in all periods of the day :-)

I asked for an invoice for my company, I just received a "Invoice review" which is not OK invoice.

An upgrade on arrival was nice including the snacks and drinks in the room. Staff v helpful.

WiFi in room was unusable.

Beds very comfy.... room clean.... restaurant area lovely.

Nothing.... quite happy with the hotel

Very convenient location in the city centre and with parking facilities directly underneath. Very caring and helpful staff. Beautifully decorated, well equipped in terms of amenities and comfy rooms. Exceeded my expectations, would definitely stay again!
