One small thing I didn't love was the limited parking availability, which made it a bit tricky to find a spot

Everything. It was clean, convenient, tastefully decorated. Comfortable bed, good shower, great location. Wonderful staff. Everything you needed and more was there. Top notch!

Excellent location right in the centre of Alkmaar, shops, station etc all within walking distance. Comfortable room with kitchenette, fridge etc. Electronic keys via phone worked perfectly.Staff do not clean or enter room unless asked to do so and if you need any supplies (tea, coffee, toilet paper, dry towels etc) you have to message the manager who will then deliver the items to your room.

Shower had no door or curtain so the bathroom floor was flooded after each shower. With 3 people using 1 bathroom that was a bit of a problem. There is a laundry area where you can use the washing machine but only between the hours of 11.00am and 6.00pm and we were never there between those hours so could not use this facility.

I booked 4 room for me and my friends and we had an excellent stay. The location is amazing, the room was really clean and spacious - perfect for a long weekend stay!

The property was immaculate, unique in its design and well laid out. Location was perfect and the staff were superb. Originally booked for 1 night but liked it so much we decided to stay an additional night. Would definitely come back again.

Location is perfect.Loved my room was on ground floor; otherwise I could not climb stairs.

I would prefer to have slippers. The kitchen counter was functional but could look more esthetic. Hangers or hanging cabinet was missing. Only 2 hooks, nothing to hang clothes.

Great location, lovely room and the owner/hospitality was great. Love that it was converted from his Mom’s dance studio. Also, very easy automated access.

Reggie, the owner, was absolutely fantastic and made us feel extremely at home. He was very helpful at all times, and throughout our 10-day stay was always very responsive and nice. We also loved the room - it was very cosy and cute and exactly what we wanted. The vinyl player in the room and the general vibe of Grapelli was also brilliant.

There could have been more natural light in the room.

Beautiful hotel at a perfect location, right at the city center! Very clean, comfortable and everything we needed was included in the room! We had a very pleasant stay and we will for sure come back when we visit alkmaar again! We highly recommend it!

So the concept of an online checking, an online key and a staff less hotel seemed a tad odd at first, but in reality it works wonderfully well. The location is absolutely fantastic. You're smack dab in the middle of Alkmaar yet you're slightly off the beaten path so there's not too much noise at night. The rooms are very spacious and the beds are great.

The parking is a bit of a challenge as it's in a parking garage right across from the hotel, but the garage itself is absolutely tiny so a nightmare to drive in and out of. That being said this is ofcourse not the hotel's fault, there were no other faults or problems.

Very nice location and facilities, nice owner, nice rooms, laundry machine and dryer for free, very cheap parking nearby (exit ticket for 13 EUR no matter how long).

Unfortunately the only thing missing on hot days is A/C. The rooms gets very warm and won't even cooldown over night since you can't open the ceiling window.

I would not stay here again

Rooms had no windows and it was very stuffy and uncomfortable in the space. Maybe it would be fine for a night but was very uncomfortable for a two day stay

The host was great, I like the fact that the room had a record player and you could borrow records to play on your room

a bit noisy but not the fauld of the host but the noisy guest that banged doors and spoke loud on the corridor

The staff were wonderful and the property was so beautifully crafted. It’s very unique and well appointed.

Wish there was air flow in the loft room or larger fans to move the air.

Great location. Staff, very welcoming and friendly. Washing machine was very useful for our bike touring holiday. Bed was very comfortable and beautifully decorated Could have done with a bike store but there is a free secure one 5 mins walk which is ideal. Overall - we would definitely recommend
