College Hotel Alkmaar

Nice little hotel on a great location in the city center. I read a lot of comments about cold rooms but we had a climate unit and that worked perfect. Breakfast good and friendly staff. Great value for money.

A second pillow would have been nice.

Location

Staff were unfriendly my daughter’s room was not cleaned for the whole stay!!!

The location is very convenient, walking distance to the station. The room is spacious, breakfast is great, and check-in is always very easy and flexible.

Great location, great breakfast and a great room !

Small night lamp in bathroom missing.

Great choose for stay in the city center! Room was clean, marvelous with all needed amenities. Great thanks to Ezra for a warm welcome and advice for the city attractions.

Staff, building, room, location, on-site parking.

Location very friendly staff the rooms are very simple and the price is high for what tou get

Breakfast was very limited

Location, air-conditioning, breakfast

No fridge or coffee/tea in the room (you can get it for free outside the room)

Breakfast was great, staff was helpful and friendly, the room was spacious. The original touches of the building were wonderful. The parking was (at extra cost) excellent.

The heating in the connecting corridors couldn't warm up the place enough. It's a historic building, so just put a cardigan on for breakfast. The place was really interesting, so this is a minor inconvenience. (February)

Very good location, friendly staff, good breakfast. Also parking slot is very handy.

it's cold before you switch the AirCo on.

Very close to Train station and Main Alkmaar centre.Nice size hotel - only 22 rooms.Very friendly staff , helpful , efficient and provided excellent service .Good choice for breakfast and well organised to avoid overcrowding by booking breakfast in 3 x 1 hour slots .Very comfortable bed, in large room , good shower and excellent choice of TV programmes in room.

Really nice rooms with fresh bathrooms. The breakfast was delicious and the staff very friendly!

Elementary school converted to a hotelVery big bathroomSpacious roomThere was neither a coffee maker nor a kettle, but when we requested they provided a kettle

There was no door to the bathroom (toilette was separated in a closed area)No kettle or coffee maker

We stayed one nigth and all was great. Especially the location is very good and we could park our car at the hotel.

Nothing to mention.

We stayed one night and we very happy with our experience. I found it interesting reading about the history of the building. A previous public school. There are art deco elements to the building. The rooms have beautiful high ceilings and are spacious .rhe beds are very comfortable. The staff were friendly, helpful and genuine. The breakfast was good.

The fruit salad was not fresh.

Very old hotel. Maximum 3*.. Not very clean, very old equipment including towels etc.

Location was very good, hotel was clean

No facilities such as coffee/tea in rooms or ironing board. Room were very bare. Hotel has little to no facilities. Also wasn’t aware I had to pay €15 per day to park at the hotel.

For location - close to centre, but also quite near train/bus station. Accommodation - very clean and all facilities included.Staff - super great, kind and helpful, always available.

Very well located, close to the Alkmaar central station. Good facilities, good bed quality and spacious room.

College Hotel is a great place to stay when exploring the beautiful town of Alkmaar! Shout out to the super friendly staff. We enjoyed the breakfast (fresh bread, cheese, meat, eggs, yogurt). Rooms are large and the only sounds are from the seagulls! Parking is available on site (15 euro/day). Supemarket and restaurants are steps away (try De Binnen Komer). We also enjoyed the summer cheese market!
