    Pros +

    • Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was wonderful. City life was audible, but I live in a very quiet village, so I did not expect the quietness-level that I have at home.
    • Welcome personal atmosphere. Good breakfast. Excellent location.great helpful staff even brought suitcases to room.
    • breakfast was excellent.

    Cons -

    • I booked a second night and that one was in the hostel and through a partner organisation. Which was fine, but not what I had intended. I had not noticed that on booking.com, I guess I should have paid better attention and just call the hotel for the extra night.
    • Older hotel. 2flights of stairs bit difficult to navigate for older couple . No air conditioning which is quite common in the older hotels. We were aware of this but if you’re room is on top floor than there is a difference.
    • very small room, toilet dirty. no elevator, not mentioned, hard to climb steps with or without bagage.

Hotel King's Innis very well located not far from the center - about 5 minutes walk. Rooms clean, quite spacious, very well furnished. Staff nice, willing to help with everything and fully professional. Breakfasts are varied, everyone chooses their own (ham, cheese, yogurt, fruit, sweet croissants, muffins.....). The stay can be paid by card or in cash. I highly recommend everyone to use it to the fullest.

Excellent location and good parking! Very friendly Hotel Staff

    A bit noisy

Bed was very comfy.Location was excellent.A problem was resolved same day.Room was private. It was clean. Not a huge amount of noise leakage.

Room didn't match the photo and was much smaller. Door to toilet couldn't be fully opened, and not really enough room to dry in the shower room. Not possible to walk down one side of the bed without bending over because of a low ceiling. There was no tea/coffee making facility in the room -and was expected to walk two flights of stairs ot the communal area to do so. I did this once and there was no milk or water - so had to fill the kettle from a toilet upstairs. On providing a chance to have this rectified, the staff tried to pass this off as normal, but on pressing they resolved the situaiton to my complete satisfaction the same day.

nice breakfast, simple but sufficient. Good location but during the evening it was noisy due to the window isolation

nothing, maybe the parking is a bit too far? But nothing to complain for the things I got.

Location and the uniqueness of the design.

The windows could do with some frosting on the lower parts of the windows in the bathroom

    8SamPosted on: 10-24-2024

Central location and a lovely breakfast

Was noisy during the night due to the local bars and would have been nice to have a kettle in the hotel room

    Good

Paid for room with river and city view, was given a loft room with 1 small skylight. We asked to be moved and they gave us another room that you had to stand on chair to see out the window.

    8LisiPosted on: 10-2-2024

Central location, excellent breakfast, comfortable and large room

Noisy outsideThe shower was designed poorly. There was nothing to hold the water back when showering, so the whole bathroom got wet.

    7CharlesPosted on: 9-24-2024

Central location with canal side rooms.Nearby pay parkingGreat breakfast

Elaborate Freestanding bath in room with inadequate water supply!

    8DanielPosted on: 9-21-2024

very close to the main square in Alkmaar, all amenities and sightseeing spots are within walking distance

the room itself was fine but up two steep stairs. Not that convenient for the luggage

    9NikolayPosted on: 9-1-2024

We had a spacious apartment right over a canal. The room and a common area were equipped with coffee-makers with plenty of coffee “capsules”. Parking garage was round the corner. Convenient location for exploring the city.

Reception and breakfast room are in a different building about 100 meters away - not cool during rain

    8JohnPosted on: 8-24-2024

Location and convenience for restaurants and bars.

Rooms were very small and paper cups for breakfast

    9AlbertPosted on: 8-16-2024

We where 60 years married so we sad let’s go to Alkmaar and it was the right thing to do with the holy family and we had the party in the hotel ????????love to Bo the manager off the hotel

    8MariaPosted on: 8-16-2024

It was in the center of Alkmaar, very near the cheese market. At the property we had excess to the canal and there we had a private area.

We had a small room in the attic with a small window. Due to the hot weather and being on top floor it was really hot. We were provided with 2 small fans which was not enough.

    10RoxannePosted on: 8-14-2024

Fantastic location right in old downtown. The suite we had was beautiful and very big.

It was weird to check in at the hostel and I was worried we had booked a bad place above a youth hostel but our rooms were in a different building.

    1TrishPosted on: 8-4-2024

    The seat beside the canal.

The room was extremely stuffy and the shower leaked.

    9ChandraPosted on: 7-30-2024

Wonderful location in the center of the city. Welcoming staff in main lobby / cafe area. The breakfast was perfect for a busy travel day ahead. Recommend!!

Our room was on the hotel side of the facilities, and the windows opened to the canal and street, so it was a bit noisy, but not too bad once we fell asleep.
