Strandhotel de Vassy

Very friendly people, both at the hotel and around. Perfekt location to the ocean, the beach and shopping. Nice view to the sunset from the balcony. Breakfast was delicious.

The elevator was EXTREMELY slow and the stairs were not for old people

The location is great and the staff are very friendly. The common room is also genuinely cosy. We had a seaview room looking out over the sea and the lighthouse. It was like being on the esplanade but inside which was perfect for winter. Very dramatic, we loved it.

The room was small it certainly didn't feel like 17 m2 probably bad use of space/design. You can just walk around the bed and two chairs at the foot of it. The sink in the bathroom hangs out over the toilet, also enhancing the feeling of being in a cramped space. And there was no tea or coffee in the room or kettle etc, you have to pay for hot water downstairs, 2 euro for a cup.

Sound-proofing: could almost follow conversations next door. Also the lighting is very barebones, not cosy at all.

Room and bathroom were old-fashioned, no coffee and tea facilities in our room. Photos don’t match at all with the photos on Booking.com, the room and bathroom were much smaller than it seemed on the photos.

The location is absolutely superb. The staff is quite friendly. Delicious and abundant breakfast, as well. I am happy to recommend this hotel!

We were assigned to a room with a 3 steps (small staircase) and it did not have access with the baby stroller. We mentioned we had a baby as guest in the booking, but we think they might not have availability of one of the rooms accessible with a lift. Despite this small inconvenience, we are still happy to recommend the hotel and if you have a similar situation (baby stroller, limited mobility, etc.) do make sure you ask to be assigned to a room is easily accessible while booking and also at the reception.

The personell is very friendly and it’s 100 m from the beach.
