Cons -
- And they didn’t have any power, electricity and the upper management was very unresponsive
- Restaurant very uncomfortable, cold stone benches, with loud modern music which is ok if you like that type of thingVery windy with no places to shelter in hotel grounds, so cant sunbathe at hotelMasses of seaweed outside hotel obliterating the beach which wasnt mentioned on websitePower goes off daily in morning, which means you cant shower
- Don’t stay here. The restaurant food is very poor. Gave me and my wife food poisoning. The water is ocean salt water, literally can’t wash or shower. Eyes will get red. The room door was broken and wouldn’t close or lock, so you feel insecure. The shower window curtains were removed and you had no privacy had to use a towel to cover the window. The beach is completely filled with seaweeds. Hotel isn’t interested in even cleaning a path. Some of the furniture in the photos is missing, the wardrobe.

The location was good with neighboring local restaurants that were walking distance and fairly priced with good food. Female receptionist and manager were friendly and helpful. They have a happy hour every day between 5-6pm. Pool was clean.
1. Upon arrival we were given a room, that did not resemble anything from the pictures online. It was smelly, stuffy as well as extremely hot and dirty. Not to mention no ventilation The bathroom was one of nightmares. Fortunately after speaking to the receptionist and manager we were placed in a much more suitable and clean room.2.The new room, however, did not have cupboard doors that closed fully. They also provided a safe albeit broken. Although this resort is so highly priced , the rooms also lacked a bar fridge and even a kettle with tea and coffee as many other resorts would do in this price range. This meant we had to constantly order from their restaurant that could not even fulfill our requests.Water running in taps was salty.Rooms and sheets were only cleaned upon request. The lights in the bathroom/dressing area were very dull which made dressing very difficult.2. There were not enough hanging space for towels.Electricity was off for most of the day although they had a generator and was only switched on after numerous complaints were made by resort guests.3. Due to no electricity, not only was there no wifi, but also the air-conditioner did not work and to top it all every time the electricity went off there was also no water. This also meant that food and perishables supposed to be in the refrigerator (in their kitchen) were left at room temperature most of the day.I find this extremely unneceptable, not to mention unpleasant and unnecessary, especially in light of the fact that this resort is one of the more expensive resorts in the area.4. Although Jambiani has no private beaches, I believe it is the resorts responsibility to clean out at least the area of beach it covers. Due to it not being cleaned, at all. There was an excessive amount of putrifying seaweed, which smelled highly unpleasant, as well as plastic and other waste which gravely decreased the aesthetic value , on which this resort relies heavily for tourism.
OK sized rooms
1. The beach was hard to reach from the premises and there are thick layers of seaweed (and plastic bottles) all along the beach that smell, making it unpleasant to go for a swim there. The location is quite far off anything else, with about a 40min walk to Paje.2. They skimp on diesel for the generators so we had outages for more the 30-40% of our stay, not only do you not have wifi but more importantly, showers and washes do not work and maybe worst of all - their kitchen coolers/freezers etc loose electricity too, leaving food room tempered for long periods(!) would not eat there again.First night we ordered a pizza to share, i saw it being taken out of the freezer so frozen pizza from a supermakret is served - charging 12 USD! Most food seems to be this way.Breakfast coffee was room tempered because the heater had no EL. Eggs where okey, guess they have gas ovens.3. There is a big local party every monday until 4-5am with most rooms actually facing the dance floor/scene. The clientele changes dramatically on Monday - would not bring kids.4. The receptionists are not on your team if booking anything, trying to test your willingness to pay high prices before asking «what would you like to pay» if you tell them its double what you paid last time…
The view was stunning. The infinity pool was a delight and made the stay worth it. It wasn’t too far a walk to an accessible beachfront which was good. The cleaning staff were very pleasant as well as reception and the guard staff. Suleiman was a great help and we appreciated how lovely he was from the moment we arrived.
When we arrived though, our room was horrible. The shower was a mess, water everywhere, no drainage and a horrific scent. Almost smelt like it would make you ill. We were happy to be moved to a more modern well kept room and grateful that staff made that move easy and quick. In the new room, however there was nowhere to hang towels and it felt like the room wasn’t ready to be slept in. The electricity situation was also a major inconvenience. I understand this was an issue across the whole area but I feel the hotel should’ve been more prepared. The restaurant was way below par. Bar staff were slow and not attentive despite there being a few of us at the hotel. Very few food options and everything took forever. There was also a massive party on one of the nights we were there. I wish we would’ve been told this when we booked. I understand it’s a restaurant but the volume was abnormally high for a place where there are guests speaking.
We did not receive the room we had originally requested, however the hotel were able to provide an alternative which I believe was an upgrade. The breakfast was ok, just need to serve real coffee from machine (first world problem).
Is was very quiet at night, apart from party night. I expect that was because there is a lot of honey mooners :)
Grat Location
My wife and I checked out after one day although we had planned (and paid) to stay for 4 days. Upon arrival, neither the safe nor the door to our room were possible to be locked. After changing rooms on request, we had to find out that the bed sheets had not been cleaned (traits of make up, unidentifiable stains etc.). We need to ask the staff to have them changed only to realize that the room hadn’t been cleaned at all (dead cockroaches in the room). In addition to that, we have been unable to sleep last night as the staff (not guests) has quite loud around the rooms. Last but not least, we had been warned (after booking) that there would be a party on Mondays but hadn’t been informed that our room would basically exiting on the dance floor.
the view, the pool, the beach. a couple of staff members (the girl who tried to help me with change, and another guy at reception) were nice. the others they just look at you. there is a real lack of communication with the guests, sense of welcoming, service, attention,...
everything else. Service is super slow. breakfast was at 7am, I came at around 7h40, they were cleaning the floor. nobody explains how it works (buffet/menu) you need to ask. I was the only one and had to wait for 15min for a plain omelet 2 sausages and toasted bread. I mean... the AC was too hot despite my attempts to change the temperature and all. they had a party until 3am in the morning my room was literally in front of the DJ booth, I couldn't sleep. if you are not into parties, avoid staying there on Mondays. I booked a sea view room, don't expect a sea view from the room, it's outside the room. curtains are too small for full privacy and blackout
Placement and view are superb. All rooms have see-view ? wi-fi very good. Restaurant has amazing view and is alos very good, menu changes every week and they have happy hours for ? . Staff is nice and helpful. They arrange for you taxi or local guides if you need them. They also have an internal souvenir shop so you can avoid going simewhere else to buy souvenirs. Also nice pool with ocean view
Our room was furnished quite basic, but since you don’t spend so much time in the room, it’s ok. Breakfast was not included in the price, but we got it separately and it was very good and satisfying.
The hotel bar and breakfast was very good. Nice view from the bar.
Very loud rooms, the bed was uncomfortable. Hotel area and pool was very small. The air conditioner kept turning off in the room due to the power outages and did not turn on automatically.
Modern and new hotelStaff are welcoming Manager is always there to help and assist All rooms are sea view
Electricity cuts a lot during the day Water in bathroom is salty Room sizes
The view of the ocean from the room was great. It truly is a place you can go to get away and unwind. We liked the manager, Francisco's immediate response to rectify our concerns after the power outage due to a generator issue. He immediately was able to rectify the issue and comped our first night dinner and gave us a room upgrade for the trouble. The restaurant where very friendly and pleased.
The hotel staff, minus the restaurant, were nice but didn't "wow" us with service. They may need a little more training in that regard. While the comped was a nice gesture and was appreciated the actual food was bland and lacked creativity and local flavor.
I like the fact that it’s exactly how it’s advertised on the app
There is no sign on the outside, our driver got lost for around 20 minutes busy driving back and forth passing the place because there’s no sign outside.(it’s hard finding it)Secondly you’re charged to clean your room, this should be included in the booking fee.. as-well as the government collection.. on the app it’s (2$ per person) at the hotel you’re told It’s 4$ no update communicated..The staff is too slow
The staffs were so friendly ?, they attend to you fast and we loved the food more? keep it up guys??
Just the Menu for breakfast, it didn’t change? But lekker?
I absolutely loved the view of the ocean from our patio. It was such a magical experience ✨️I also loved the big bathtub in our room with the ocean view
I didn't like the fact that we were charged am additional service levy when leaving which was not disclosed to us when we checked in.
room, view and property flexible on check out and check in.
no housekeeping, cleaning the room yourself without any cleaning materials. one tissue and two towels provided for the entire 3 night stay
I just back today, and already miss this place! Most beautiful hotel I ever stayed! View breathtaking! Food very tasty, fresh fruits! Amazing swimming pool.
Its close to the beach
The beach is not clean has a lot of sea weed. It is also very rocky. The hotel is really small food and drinks are over priced as compared to other 4 star hotels. We paid for Bed and BreakFast. Breakfast is not buffet they do not offer fresh juice no sausages and the tea/coffee is trash. Some of the waitresses have an attitude problem and are not willing to accommodate the customer. For the price we paid I feel we deserved better.
staff in the restaurant is excellent, food is very tasty, design and falsities are very modern
my swing suit was colored in yellow after being in the pool, I guess will be nice memory from the stay :)
