    Pros +

    • Loved loved loved our stay here - from the intimacy of the property to the warm caring staff and friendly attentive owners, the artistic colourful interior of our room, easy access to the sea and beach (at low tide), and delicious food (10/10 for the meals we had). It really was a perfect stay.
    • It was a magical place and a perfect stay - we will go with the flow and can absolutely recommend this hotel. Breakfast was so good!! We always went out for dinner, so no rating there.
    • The hotel owners had invested a great deal in comfort and quality. The experience was excellent. They had the ambition to create a first-class customer experience. The food was very tasty. A small, very minor point for improvement is that the hotel offers breakfast and dinner, so you might get hungry during the day since there are no restaurants nearby.

    Cons -

    • Despite the lovely interior, there was one thing we didn't like (but that's subjective perception) in our room: there is no closed bathroom - so it's one big hotel room, and only a saloon door to the toilet :)
    • Lack of snacks for chilling by the pool in the afternoon :-)
    • Not much really, its made for a relaxing stay. We got the only ground floor room which was a bit dark, but we came to enjoy its privacy after a few hours

The food was excellent, the best we had tried on the island. I had there one of the best seafood of my life! Also good wine. The owners are just honest, have their contacts, give advices, simply not BS. They do not charge you anything just because they organized something for you, that was a nice change. The place is beautiful, living barefoot is great. It is very private, exactly what we wanted. We went to snorkel with a local fisherman (organized by the owners), visited several bars and restaurants around the hotel where you can just walk on the beach. We would come back!

Lack of snacks for chilling by the pool in the afternoon :-)

The food is the best we had on Zanzibar - breakfast and dinner. The attention to detail in the hotel, like small water-trays to clean sand off feet before entering rooms, the design, the sunbeds. The servers and owners are very attentive and helpful!

Not much really, its made for a relaxing stay. We got the only ground floor room which was a bit dark, but we came to enjoy its privacy after a few hours

This Place is just wonderful, we fehlt like home just a few Hours After arriving. Denisa and Valentine and all the other stuff are so helpful, kind and friendly. We enjoyed every minute there and felt safe. The food was amazing, we would always recommend to eat there. One of my favorite places so far, we will come back for sure ☺️

This is in a lovely quiet location - a great getaway. The owners are exceptional and have a very good team. You are very looked after… and the dining is exquisite. It was a treat to stay for a week and I could easily have stayed for another! I hope you enjoy your trip as much as I did.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at “Casa Paradis” and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. The room was beautifully decorated, and provided all the comforts we needed for a relaxing stay. A place like true Paradise, made our stay feel like home. Thank you Denisa and Valentin, you are the kindest!By the way the restaurant at the hotel called “Nobis”is extremely delicious with exotic dishes and special touch to every single detail. Loved the coctails too!Overall, our experience at “Casa Paradis” exceeded all expectations. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay with exceptional service. We will definitely be returning on our next visit to Zanzibar!

Casa Paradis is the perfect place to stay on Zanibar. A 6 room beach front property which from the moment you arrive allows you to truly relax. The onsite restaurant serves an incredible breakfast each morning and then in the evening you have the option to have dinner there also. We had dinner every night at Casa Paradis and was the best food we ate over our two weeks in Tanzania and rivalled quality food at many global restaurants. Was worth the price and some great wines to enjoy on the rooftop as the sunsets also. The beach is also the easy to walk along and explore other places along Jambiani. The hosts and staff were also super lovely and helped us to organise airport transfers as well as trips to Paje and Stone Town. Would 100% recommend to anyone.

A beautiful boutique hotel in Jambiani. The owners are exceptional, making you feel like home with a 5-star service. Great food too, memorable dishes and cocktail selection with a menu that changes every day! We highly recommend!

    Nothing!

Incredible breakfast and location. A morning coffee while watching the sunrise was the best.

Great attention to every details, harmonious and peaceful, really clean, delicious food, would have given 11/10 is possible - perfect for romantic quiet boutique experience

The whole stay was amazing from start to finish! From the arrival and birthday set-up from hosts Valentin and Denisa, to the final moment everything was just so thoughtful and planned. More than just a hotel, anything we needed the wonderful team at Casa Paradis were there to help! Breakfast was great, dinner was great and the design of the hotel was second to none. Will definitely be back!

Our only point was the lack of food offering at lunch, but this was helped by the great advise from our hosts on where to go instead!

Quiet luxury, exquisite food (fresh, full of flavour and beautifully presented) that would rival any top restaurant in any city in the world, meticulous attention to detail and outstanding service. A beautiful beach on a quieter part of the island, which suits those looking for a totally relaxing break. Fall asleep on crisp sheets (pillowcases changed daily) listening to the sound of the waves.. utter bliss!Thank you Denisa, Valentin and team for spoiling us x

The staff is super nice and the owners too, and the decor is absolutely gorgeous

Everything was closed at 8/9pm, the kitchen, all lights out, no more staff available at the restaurant. So we couldnt even get a drink or snack when back from our adventures, which for the price you pay is disappointing. We couldnt even get a spoon on our last day as the restaurant was closed and the staff with a key was gone. Overall this hotel is for people who want to travel and just sit by the pool doing nothing during the day, then go to bed at 9.

This is the most beautiful property on the east side of Zanzibar. Every detail is perfect. The food exquisite. The grounds immaculate, the staff lovely, I didn’t want to leave. I can’t wait to return.

    Nothing, it was truly perfect.

The housekeeping staff was great. They were diligent in ensuring our room was serviced each day and the room was spotless. Thank you!

I would highly discourage a stay here. The time spent at this property ruined my perception of Jambiani, which I had visited before and decided to go back based on the spectacular experience I had previously. Because of the treatment, I would discourage others from going.Casa Paradis? Not exactly: (Casa Para Rules) it was so difficult to find the property even with a local driver from a company that services the entire island of Zanzibar. We had to drive through a village and ask multiple people and were thrown off course for 30 minutes before we could find the property. We had barely said hello to the owner when he saw a pizza and snacks we had bought on the way in our hands (we hadn't eaten lunch since Stonetown) and he proceeded to lecture us about their "strict policy" on outside food. The owner insisted we check in the snack we bought at the kitchen then check them out at the end of our short stay. I'm sorry, is this kindergarten? Somehow the words "strict policy about outside food" purportedly because of insects (which in actuality are naturally part of the biome of the island) does not comport with being on vacation.By the way, there's a bit of catfishing in terms of the lack of depiction of where the property is located. What's pictured is only the beach front and the property (smaller than what's in the picture). Once you head to the gate to enter/exit, you're in a village -- totally locked up. DO NOT TRAVEL HERE BY YOURSELF. You will have to leave the property because the food at Casa Paradis is expensive in comparison to the other locales in the area (e.g. lobster at Casa Paradis is 50 USD, while only 28 USD in other locales. They do not serve lunch. The property feels lonely. The owner forgot to tell us at check in that we needed to pay a city tax, which other places collect at check-in.

Closest to paradise we’ve ever been! Truly amazing place in Zanzibar. We felt an instant grounding and relaxation the moment we arrived, and we truly loved the barefoot theme. Such a nice detail. The owners are so sweet, so attentive and really made us feel at home. Staff is like a family too - everybody so welcoming and happy to see you. Food is just great! Facilities, rooms, beach access, location, pool, aesthetic… Can’t beat it. It’s unique. We had the best time in Casa Paradis! Didn’t want to leave and will for sure come back if we visit Zanzibar again.

    Everything was great!

Everything. Literally, everything was amazing. The place is immaculate. The food is amazing. The staff and owners are the best. I can't imagine a better place or experience.

I hated that we had to leave.

The owners Denisa and Valentine treated you as special guests- anything you wanted, they would organise. I wasn’t well for the last day and a half and Denisa looked after me giving me medicine and making sure I had the right food.Casa Paradis is absolutely beautiful and very tastefully designed. The attention to detail is superb and shows the love that went into designing the hotel Nobis, the restaurant serves amazing food which is beautifully presentedThe location is sublime - right overlooking the turquoise coloured Indian OceanLots of beautiful areas to sit out in and relaxBeautiful infinity poolAll the staff were friendly and well trained

Nothing reallyNext time I would stay in an upstairs room with a sea view
