Seven Oaks Hotel with Heated Indoor Pool and Fitness Centre Carlow Town

Breakfast was very nice. Staff in restaurant was completely lovely.

Room was sweltering due to heat wave. Staff did nothing to help with this. Windows hadnt been open. No ice water available. Piddly fan finally brought to the room. Pool closed early so sat in the room w/ 2 small kids who couldnt even sleep from the heat.

Staff on reception so welcoming! Top class customer service

Nothing negative about this hotel apart from having to travel through endless roundabouts to get there which isn't the hotels fault.

Generally cold, not enough heat. Also a person appeared at breakfast clearly in pyjamas and dressing gown. Probably unwashed hands too. On enquiring from reception I learned it was common enough practice and the hotel dare not ask the guests to dress when attending the diningroom, citing discrimination etc!! Put me off my breakfast!

It was like an obstacle course to get to our room and you definitely need a map or clean directions from reception. Tray with leftover room service food left on corridor when we checked in and still sitting there 24 hrs later when we checked out. By the look of the plate and food it was there a few days.

"staff"-at the reception were welcoming and helpful; "room"- was on the ground floor, which was a bonus. The room itself was above average, clean and comfortable; "bar" was nice and relaxing; "breakfast" was included in the price and very tasty. The staff were kept busy but seemed 'on top of' serving everyone in the nicely decorated restaurant.

I can't fault the hotel! It was a very nice place to stay. I was happy with everything. Only minor gripe: The cost of the 1-night stay was a little on the high side. I would have enjoyed my stay even more if I hadn't various health issues.

Ease of parking

Heating was on full and not able to regulated in the room. Thankfully it switched off at 10pm and I left at 6am before it came on again.

Bar staff were very friendly

The bed sheets had stains, mirror in bathroom was dirty, smell in the room was awful when we first walked in. Food in dining room was tasteless, over powering air freshener was very off putting when trying to eat

Nice convention-type hotel. Cute pub inside and breakfast was fine, but no Irish soda bread!!! A bit outdated in terms of decor but the room was large and comfortable.

The hotel was beautiful. Great location for us. The breakfast was great.

Our room faced the front of the building. We had our windows opened. With the driveway being just stones, the traffic was very loud.
