Guesthouse Beckmann

The location is very convenient when visiting the North Campus of the Gottingen University. It takes just 5 min driving to the Guesthouse. There is a free of charge parking lot. There are also busses going to and from the campus. Next to the Guesthouse there is a good restaurant where you can enjoy various meals and drinks. The guesthouse offers extensive breakfast with a great view.The rooms are fine with comfortable beds. The check-in and check-out process is simple and quick.

Clean, comfortable beds, and staff was all friendly and helpful.

The floors were creaky and you could hear every door open and close. There was no air conditioning so it got quite warm in the room.

It's nice that this mid-market hotel offers basic rooms as well. The basic room is quite plain, but it includes a brilliant breakfast buffet that was above my expectations. Good value for money.

Really kind personnel, very pretty building, comfortable room and great breakfast with beautiful and peaceful view. The restorant near the hotel was also good.

It was a little far from city center and from any kind of shop, but very conveniently located to reach the Max Planck institute.

We came at approximately 19.30. The hotel restaurant across the street was full and no other restaurants nearby. We had to order pizza. It could have been nice if the restaurant could have made something light which they could bring to us being paying hotel guests

The sheer lack of pillows with no option in the room to get another pillow. My wife had a terrible sleep because of this. No facities to make tea /coffee a tad strange also.

Location. It was a bit out of the city of Gottingen. Located on a noisy road.

The staff were super friendly and very professional. The food in the restaurant was amazing and also the breakfast menu was very good.

My room was not as advertised on booking and I felt more like being holed up in a monk’s cell or at a boarding school. The room was located in a corridor that was still under construction. There was no coat hangers, no bedside lamp, no minibar. Basically nothing.

Location, good parking, nice facilities, welcoming dogs, true hospitality, great breakfast!

No AC

The room was good, clean and modern looking. Nice bathroom. The breakfast restaurant had a really nice view of the valley. Staff was extremely friendly.

We are a family of 4 (kids are 12 and 16), and the sleeping couch for the kids was a bit too short for my 16 year old son. So my wife had too sleep in the sleeping couch. Also, one of the reasons that we chose this site, was that there was two chargers for electric cars. However, one was broken and the other occupied, so it is difficult to plan with.

This is a place where you are sincerely welcome. Very attentive and kind staff who really want to help you.Everything inside has been renovated, everything is new, a huge TV, beds, a spacious bathroom.Opposite is a restaurant where you can reserve a table. I recommend visiting, the food is very tasty.Breakfast was also good. We will definitely stay next time.

There was no refrigerator in the room. Maybe it hasn't been installed yet, I don't know.Also, YouTube on the TV should be connected to some account; I don’t think that visitors will want to log in from their hotel account.The Internet in general is slower in this town. I don't think this is a hotel problem.The main disadvantage is that there is nowhere to go nearby. There is a botanical garden. You must come by car, otherwise it will be difficult for you to get there. Looks like there's a bus.

Very clean rooms, everything you need, super friendly staff and exceptional breakfast. Honestly one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had and that for this very reasonable price. 10/10 would absolutely recommend staying at this place

My room was next to the breakfast room and it got a bit loud in the morning. I didn’t mind cause I had to get up early anyway

Very friendly and cheerful workers made a brilliant first impression. The room was shiny, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is diverse and the food is tasty.

A slightly squeaky bed, and the room was close to the back entrance, hence, I could hear other people talking sometimes.
