B&B Hotel Göttingen-City

Close to the city center and the university. It was small but very clean and nice--just what I needed. The hotel staff were super friendly and helpful

Staff was friendly and helpful. It was easy to get on foot to the city center. Standard B&B-chain hotelroom and service. Hotel was on outskirts of town, so not a lot of traffic to get there.

The parking was a little dark.

Location and clean

Booked a double, was given a twin and not told about the change. Staff gave an excuse that my room had to be changed as all over double rooms had issues with the locks ?

The personnel was amazing and the hotel was within walking distance of the centre. Also, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was decent.

The hotel is located within a short driving distance from the university and pretty close to the city center.The room is ok.

The check-in was pretty bad for me. There was one person working at the reception and a big que. I tried to check-in online via one of their terminals, but the software didn't give me a code to enter the room so I needed to join the que anyway.The stuff couldn't my reservation despite me paying a few minutes ago in the terminal.There is parking place, but you can't get in before paying it at the reception. It's not possible to enter the hotel from the parking area, which is extremely inconvenient.My room was located near the air-conditioning system placed outside on the parking lot which was waking me up during the night. Additionally, the hotel is located 100 m away from the train tracks.The door opens with a code, which I find a bit annoying.

The location wasn’t really good. It was not super clean. The rooms are not wooden floor, so the carpet smells.

The location, room size and view are perfect.

The floor carpet is wet and dirty. Its dark color makes it hard to tell if it’s clean. Our child played in the room for an hour, and her socks turned completely black.

Close to the train station. The room was spacious and instead of having to carry a key, people use passwords to enter. Check in was quick, check out was even quicker, since you can just leave the hotel without passing from the front desk. There are also vending machines on the ground floor with different snacks.

I initially liked the idea of automatic check-in because it seemed modern and convenient, but I didn't anticipate the challenges it would cause when it fails, especially in the middle of the night.

I arrived in the middle of the night (11:30 pm, closing to 12). There was no staff at the front desk. I did the automatic check-in. Yet, unfortunately, there was a problem with the automatic check-in, I received the billing in my email (Rechnung), but I could not receive my room number and password. On the screen of the machine, it indicated to me that: your room is not ready, please contact the front desk. Since there was nobody at the front desk, I had to call the hotline from the hotel to ask for support, unfortunately, it navigated to a guy. He instructed me to go to his office in the building and ended up in realizing that he was in Hamburg and I was in Gottingen. Later he insisted that I had not done the check-in, otherwise I should have received the room information. I told him I had done the check-in and I had received the bill in my mailbox. But he did not believe me. I was so desperate that I called the Gottingen Police directly, to tell them that the hotel charged my money, but I was not offered a room. Unfortunately, the police told me that they could not help with such a case and suggested me to find another hotel to live in as soon as possible. In the end, I got help from other guests in this hotel, that I booked a room from the machine and then asked for a return from the front desk the other day. I was lucky that there was still one room left, so I managed to stay in the end. The lady at the front desk the next day was super friendly and collaborative. Unfortunately, I had such a terrible experience (almost cried) the night before, so I have to complain here that the guy at the hotline did not solve the problem properly and left me in desperate in the middle of the night.

It was walkable from the train station. The room had enough space. The bed was comfortable. The room was spotlessly clean. The location is very quiet.

There were not enough electrical outlets in the room. There was no place on my side of the bed to plug in my CPAP machine. There were no glasses provided. That is a basic necessity. Facial tissues would have been a nice luxury, but we had enough toilet tissue to meet our needs.

Very good rooms, adequate service. Not really central, but walk into town, or to train station is no big deal. Competitive price.

A bit impersonal. Not a hotel I would choose for a prolonged stay.

The curtains were not clean and there was no iron or small refrigerator in the room

The room, the linens and the towels were all squeaky clean, the bed was super comfortable. There is literally no noise, neither from neighbours, nor from the street, the windows and the walls muted all sounds. I was lucky to get the room facing the street. Those, who get rooms with the view to the railway might be a little less lucky though...

Room was a good size and very clean. Parking was very convenient and reasonable

Location was OK but surrounding area didn't seem very nice.

I liked almost everything regarding the hotel - the room was quite simple, but really nice and clean and soundproofed, for I could not hear my neighbors at all, the staff was friendly, the breakfast was always good. There was a big parking lot with many parking spaces, so I did not need to worry about that.

I did not particularly like the location.
