B&B Hotel Hamm

Respected all the criteria of the B&B chainBig breakfast roomRoom cleanEasy to walk to the streets with restaurants

New clean hotel just in front of the train station (a beautiful historical building). Private parking is free. Strong wifi. Good breakfast. Somebody can say the room is small, but we needed just a bed and a bathroom. Wifi, aircondition and a big tv were a bonus. Automatic check-in (you can still find a live person at the desk) and no need to check out, just leave before noon. Breakfast 7:30 to 10:30.

Strange people in the neighborhood, not exactly homeless but looking like that. But that is the same around every train station in the world, so... Except that the streets were ok, wide, and so and so clean.

Very convenient location in Hamm; right in front of the station, and a block or two from downtown. Most staff friendly and helpful, with one notable exception.

No staff present on arrival, and self check-in didn't work. Asked many, many questions; then did not supply entry code.Had to call emergency number to get in.

There is no telephone. No body there to help. If you lost the room entry card . That’s it. No body to attend. No kettle to make coffee or tea . So disappointed

My Suggestion is if the customer stays more than 2 days, i recommend to change the bed sheet and Towels and if the clean the floor will be hygiene, Breakfast is i booked with BF but some how my booking was without breakfast, when saw in the information board, If i want Breakfast cast in 12.90 Euro, looks bit expensive,, Rest the location was in heart of city, Transport connect was good bus and taxi and train,

Great location, just next to bus and train station, and have a parking at rear, if hired car

Didn't like breakfast, coz it was only cold buffet, which is not to our liking, might be for someone else. We like hot breakfast to let us survive till mid day or may be more. And there was no hot water kettle for make your own early morning tea or coffee, nothing complimentary.And double bed should have double duvet, but there was 2 single duvet.

Cleanliness and a totally empty room. No drinking water! I checked in late at night and slept thirsty. Toilet seemed to be used already

Location next to the railway station is obviously perfect and soundproofing is excellent as there was no train noise. Room was comfortable. Shower seal wasn’t great, so the floor got soaking wet. Would be nice to have a bin in the room so you don’t have to go to the bathroom every time you throw something out. It’s nice that breakfast is included. Most parts of the breakfast are pretty good.

I feel like in Germany bread rolls are the basis of the whole breakfast and if they are not good then the breakfast is not good. So despite really good coffee, nice butter, nice cheese, the bread rolls are cheap, dry crap and I didn’t feel like I ate a proper breakfast.

Fantastic aircon but was nice to also get air into the room. Once the window was closed the sound proofing was good. Great wifi and the tv was huge with a good selection of channels. I liked the key code entry too. Liked the fact that there were room rates with and without breakfast.

I had a twin room which I think would be quite a squeeze for two people unless you didn’t have much luggage.

Breakfast was good Good selection to choose from , able to have early breakfast as starts from 6.30am which was good.

Asked for a quiet room at the back but was given room at front facing railway station very noisy. Room very hot. No tea or coffee making facilities Expensive for what you get. Pillows uncomfortable.

The room was clean,the fixtures were new and modern, the breakfast was cold buffet but plenty of various dishes to eat.

The corridor on level 4 when the wind speed outside was high resulted in a whistling noise which on the first night kept us awake. But other nights was acceptable.We had an issue with a loose electric socket in the bathroom which after reporting took 3 days to become safe.Pillows in budget hotels are always of low comfort.

This B&B is in the middle of the city which makes it easy to go out and find things to do, or to go shopping. The staff was friendly and spoke English too, which was nice. The check-in and check-out could be done using a code, which was the same as used to open the room door. The room was quite big with enough space to sit and enjoy ourselves for an evening.

The table in the room was quite small, but I suppose they assume you don't use the table very often. The shower door had a hole for a handle, which resulted in a really wet bathroom floor. Bathroom was a bit small compared to the rest of the room.

Bad

The room stank of cigarette smoke. Didn't give me a replacement room. Aired the room for hours and still slept in what smelled like an ashtray.
