Van der Valk Hotel Enschede

THe room is very good. The breakfast has many options, although it can be quite busy. The hotel has a bicycle rental service which is great to visit the region.

Front-desk staff could be a bit more friendly.

could strongly smell cigarette smoke in the shower, as if someone was smoking in another room and the air was coming through the ventilation system into our bathroom. Really unpleasant and disgusting.

Went to restaurant to get a coffee when I arrived as I don't like the capsule coffee they have in the rooms. I told this to the barista. Got my coffee, nice service but when I took the coffee to my room and tasted it, I found out it was made from the same capsules i had in my room. Not nice!

Just Superb! Great Hotel, Lovely Staff, Huge Clean Rooms, Massive Free Car Park & Superb Location. What More Would You Need? Oh Yes; The Food in the Restaurant was Wonderful & Breakfast was Delightful Too….

The hotel is simply amazing for the location. Was not expecting this level of hotel quality in Enschede. Proper staff, polite, helpful and super professional.The room was large, with a private room for the kids, with a huge balcony and bathroom.The family loved it!

Possibility to opt out from the room service and save nature. Appreciated. Everything works, great hotel, great experience. Will book again while visiting Enschede.

You're employee charged us wrong rate at breakfast on our first day eventhough he asked if we are staying at hotel and took our room numbers he still charged us visitor prices. on other mornings the staff, different persons, charged the correct amount listed at your webpage. Not a biggie but it's still something about respecting your customers and being honest.

Little bit disappointed by the cleanliness of the bed.

My bedsheets had very nasty stains on them when I wanted to go to sleep. Feels like they have not been washed

Only thing that wasn't to our liking was the bed. We has two single beds pushed together which made the mattress sag towards the middle. Wasn't that comfortable to sleep on. Not a deal breaker.

We booked the room for the wedding night. We have purchased several packages as well such as rose petals, minibar and handmade chocolates. We checked in late (around 23:30) and it went good. The breakfast have everything that is needed for breakfast. The pool and saunas were great!

The handmade chocolates were very simple and clearly looked liked they were just bought from supermarket, so wasn’t handmade :( . In the morning we read through QR code that was in the room, that it is possible to have a late check out until 17:00 for 25€, so since we checked in very late we decided to extend our stay longer. However, on the reception they told that it is wrong information on their website and they can extend our stay only until 13:00 for 25€ and if we booked the room through their website, it would have been free. That was the disappointing part of the experience, since they are misinforming their clients.

I liked the spacious elegant room and the view over the green suburbs. I chose the hotel because of the spa and the swimming pool, and both were great.

I give a low rate because of the clogged drain in the shower. The shower tray ran full of water in no time, making the stay in it impossible.In a four star hotel this needs to be signalled by the cleaning staff not the guests, and resolved timely.

The scrambled eggs were not v good. There should have been a toaster there. And we were v surprised to note that juice/ bacon/ breads weren’t replaced on time.

My recent stay at Van der Valk Hotel Enschede was fantastic. The room was spacious and sparkling clean, providing a comfortable retreat. Clean design clean in general. Food great (had a nice steak salad which was perfectly done) service in the bar is great.

No kettle in the room for tea.
