Dorint Resort Winterberg

Perfect location! just a few steps to ski resorts and the balcony view of our holiday house is the sled slope :)We booked 3 houses and they granted our request to make the units close to each other. House 515/516/517 were reserved for us - the houses are all clean and looks really new. Cozy living rooms and comfortable beds! Receptionist are also friendly and easy to communicate with. After check out, they still allow us to use the swimming pool and sauna.We were really satisfied with our weekend stay!

Unfortunately, microwave in house#515 is not working. Everything is well maintained and clean, except for the balcony with a lot of fallen dried leaves.

The view from the apartment was amazing! Really good breakfast. The dinner was not included in the price, but is was exceptional and not that expensive, considering the quality. There was also the SPA at the facility, which had a swimming pool and saunas. The ski slopes were close by. There was a large parking on the premises, which had also chargers for electric cars, which was a big bonus for us.

Only one thing we did not like, the water in the swimming pool was very cold for our taste. It was good if you were planning to do exercise in the water, but not for relaxation and/or for kids. If not for this it would have been a 10/10.

Staff at resort was very understanding and helpful. She (at reception desk) helped us to move a room as we had a dog and he couldnt go down the stairs everytime we went outside. Then she offered us a better room on ground floor without giving us hard time. That makes the whole trip enjoyable!

Maybe offer rooms at ground floor at arrival who have big dogs.

Disappointed

The Heaters were not functioning on 4-5. Jan. 2025. We paid 400 Euros for one night and had the worst experience. It was very disappointing with 2 kids to stay in the hotel. This experience would definitely go on Google.

1. The pool water was not clean and the pool itself is old. Also would be nice to have a shoe spoon available near the shoeshelf2. Some staff was stressed during Christmas days.3. There were absolutely no places in the hotel restaurant for Christmas dinner (and 2 days after) without reservation before the trip, and serving times were terrible.4. Internet was not working in entire housing area!5. Heating in the house could not be adjusted

We liked everything:warm,clean,spacious appartment with beatifull view to the valley,tasty breakfest and very kind personal in the restaurant in the morning as it was crowdy they did teir best to serve the guests

The Breakfast was very nice.My room was amazing.The massage I booked with Erwin was exceptional and my facial was also very nice.

The car park booking was a little confusing.

The chalet houses are great for a family, parking is fast and easy

Because the was little snow, the value for money decreased. Would have been nice to get free breakfast for example since we did pay premium for the nights. Don’t book far in advance so you can take into account weather conditions, they affect the price

Property has everything! Perfect for families.

The only issue was the snow situation - nothing to do with the property. There was no snow this February so made the skiing holiday very challenging. There were some slops open, but not at this resort. The bus situation was also not the greatest, but again nothing to do with the property. If it was snowing, this location would have been a dream!

Close by to winterberg and all the wintersports. Clean accomodation, friendly staff

Stayed in one of the house. It was nice but i would prefer cover of the front door - no blinds. Also for 1000 euros for 3 days, one would expect to be provided at least with dish soap, maybe one or two dishwasher tablets, sponge and tea towel like basic for kitchen. All these things would make it easier, like few hotel sachets of sugar, salt or tea. it makes big difference, like that we felt like in one of those “Dutch” resorts

Location and size of the rooms

Staff has zero sense of service or hospitality. Keep you waiting endlessly, don’t offer options and don’t seem to care. Worst service ever.

The location of the hotel is perfect.. near the ski area with wonderful nature sight..the room is big with modern design and neat.. the view from our room is lovely!? The breakfast is amazing!?

Bad wifi connection..for two nights stay we have to use our own network..no elevator available..our room is on the 3rd floor and we have to carry two heavy luggages using the stairs..the reception is not upfront..you have to walk upstairs with your luggages and carry them again downstairs to walk to the room.. in case we come back, we know for next time not to carry our luggages to reception to check-in.. ?

We simply loved it!! Kind and pet friendly. Good price vs activities offer. We can’t complain. Definitely going back soon.

Menu option very limited but also was not many guest so probably a smart decision

We had a small house for 5 ppl, it was very tidy, had a terrace and nice view on mountains. We did also really liked the pool and sauna! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is amazing! It totally was above any expectations.
