Hotel Winterberg Resort

Easy check-in, friendly staff, comfortable bed, quiet, evening meal really good value for money.

The bar in the evening was only intermittently staffed and so sometimes had a wait to get served.

Location is fantastic for skiing, as you can walk to the lift directly from the hotel. There is also ski rent available, which makes it all very easy, especially when you are with small children.

Everything is very basic, practical and functional; breakfast, dinner buffet, swimming pool, sauna - it’s all there and serves the purpose but has little ambiance and does not give a high experience. Only because of the ease of the location I would consider coming back.

The location is perfect, across from P5.

The bedroom was very basic with not a lot of space, and the mattresses were very soft. The bathroom was not designed well. There isn’t proper drainage and because the shower is open the whole bathroom was flooded(even under the toilet)Breakfast was very basic, there were very long queues and the coffee machines tripped so we stood in lines for a while. The bacon was very hard and there wasn’t any other meat options aside from cold meats.

Breakfast and dinner were fantastic. Accommodated to all food intolerances even went out of their way to make meals not on the menu.

Wow! The location was awesome and having the ski rental right at the resort was perfect! Just a five minute walk and you’re at the lift. Breakfast was very nice and plentiful. Room was small but nice and clean.

It would have been nice to have a kettle in the room for tea or coffee. Our bathroom was tight so a larger person might be uncomfortable. Beds were very soft. Dinner buffet was only average for the price.

Not all staff speaks English well, there are no lockers at the pool/sauna area.

Good breakfast, great dinner buffet (a bit expensive though), really nice and cosy bar with fireplace and board games. The room had a decent size and the bathroom was spacious and with a great shower!

I messaged the hotel a few days before my stay asking about charger for electric cars, they said there was one at the hotel, but when I arrived I was told it was not working. Based on previous reviews, it seems like the charger was already not working even before I sent the message. I would probably have booked a different hotel if I knew it was not working. Room on the ground floor was quite noisy (I could hear people walking up the stairs above me). Swimming pool was cold, whole sauna/spa area seems a bit dead and outdated.

The location was great and the hotel bar was so cozy.

The room had some humid and dust smell. Especially the bed sheets smelled like moist. In addition, the air ventilation was not really good.

Great location for walking, activities and visiting Winterberg. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our rooms were clean and well maintained.

Location is amazing! Almost ski-in / ski-out. 50m walk. Good rooms, we had 3 placed next to each other.

There was no lunch offer, driving into town was inconvenient. Wanted to book for the next year, but it was already fully booked.

Breakfast was wonderful, buffet dinner was also nice, nice bar and staff, very close to the ski lift, free parking, very nice swimming pool (although a bit cold), ski rental on the hotel terrain. It was all super convenient and pleasant. I made a mistake with my checkout date and the super friendly staff helped me out with staying an extra night. I really appreciated that. Thanks!!

The pool could be just a little bit warmer. Definitely not a dealbreaker though.

very good location, super friendly stuff. it was the only hotel in the neighbourhood within reasonable price range who agreed to leave the key for late check in. I called them all. it was nice to visit sauna and dinner was pretty nice

water in the pool was rather cold,room was rather basic was the money
