Pros +
- The apartment was spacious and perfect for our needs. Centrally located in the city centre.
- This was my fourth stay at this delightful property and each time I stayed at this property it was to celebrate a New Year. What is uniquely special about Boutique Hotel Amalienhof is their attention to detail and how they excel with the basic and fundamental requirements of a Hotel Proprietor to be Guest Centred. When I stay at any hotel I am usually quite busy following breakfast in that I am off on my morning walks to explore my surroundings. What I love to do in the late afternoon around 15:00-16:00 is to return to my hotel room to rest before going out for an evening meal. Boutique Hotel Amalienhof are a residence of quietness and tranquility where the guest can relax and not be disturbed in any way. This is so important to the guest and probably overlooked my many properties throughout the world. Boutique Hotel Amalienhof also excel with their Breakfast Buffet. It is exceptionally and diligently prepared by their very hard-working staff and presented in a very professional and clean manner all ready for their guests to enjoy each morning. It was such a joy for me to come down each morning and enjoy the exquisite surroundings of the Breakfast Dining Room whilst looking outside at a blanket of snow in the calm streets of Weimar. This was the third year in a row that I was given the same Room located on the ground floor with a view onto the Garden. I really love Room 113 and the Oval Desk is very much to my taste as a writer. I spent quite a lot of time sitting at that desk and composing my words all in the surrounding silence with only my thoughts echoing and reverberating throughout that room.
- Great location, comfy beds, 24 hour access to teas, coffee etc. Nice staff and fantastic breakfast
Cons -
- There is room for improvement with the breakfast (limited options).
- I don't have anything negative to say about this very charming and customer-centred hotel. Why would I when I have stayed there on four occasions?
- Nothing to complain about.

Great location, comfy beds, 24 hour access to teas, coffee etc. Nice staff and fantastic breakfast
This is a darling little hotel. The location was perfect for walking around town. The staff was friendly and professional. The room was clean and comfortable. The windows even open for fresh air.The bed was good. The shower was great. Breakfast was delicious. Absolutely recommend.
Nothing to complain about.
Perfect location with access to old town and attractions , great service with an excellent breakfast, drinks on the balcony and parking on site.
Old-fashioned charm, professionally run by Francesca. Had a large junior suite (Biedermeier style) with two separate rooms, very quiet.
The hotel needs upgrades in several respects: wifi is intermittent (it’s an old building), no fridge or water, no security safe, electrical converters needed for North American visitors.
Staff was very helpful. Visiting to find family roots. Breakfast was great
Bath was a bit small, but workable.
The breakfast was very good and the dining room is pleasant. WE liked the spacious suite we were given to stay in, and enjoyed the classic furnishings and crimson carpet and curtains. There was adequate closet and drawer space which not all hotels give you nowadays.
It was all good.
The hotel and rooms were cosy , well furnished, luke the many little accents in the corridors and art on the walls. 6

It was a very lovely, elegant old hotel. Our room was small but very pretty. It was a short walk to the historic center. The breakfast was very nice.
I didn’t realize we had to pay extra to park, though I may have just forgotten, but it was not expensive- - 12 Euros a night.

Quiet, old villa with character, big parking owned by hotel. Close to Goethe house and old city.
Thin walls, lack of drinking water.

What I love most about Hotel Amalienhof is how quiet it is and this is so important for a guest following a long day of walking and exploring the town of Weimar and beyond. I enjoy returning to my hotel room and relaxing on my bed in complete silence before going out later for an evening meal.Hotel Amalienhof also excel with their Buffet Breakfast. I could clearly see how much preparation they put into preparing the Buffet Breakfast for their guests and the staff are always on hand to ensure that the guest is fully catered for.
I have nothing negative to say about Hotel Amalienhof. It was my third visit to Weimar and third time to stay at Hotel Amalienhof. I feel very comfortable and at home in their hotel now as I am always confident that they look after their guests with the highest standard necessary.

A good selection of options for breakfast but could do with a couple of more hot options,.as there was just scrambled egg.The staff were brilliant, the room superb as was the location to the pedestrian part of Weimar.
Nothing to 'not like' but the Wi-Fi was a little flaky some evenings.
Everything was perfect. The room was exceptional, being large, clean and well appointed (not many stairs.!).Very comfortable beds, an excellent buffet breakfast and decent/secure onsite parking at a reasonable rate.Location is close to the centre of town and the Christmas Markets.
Nothing really.... All OK.
Location, friendly staff, excellent breakfast, comfortable beds
Nothing…
Staff were friendly, location was excellent, room was large, everything was clean, worked well as an overnight stop over for us.
Our room was close to the road so we got a bit noise.
