Pros +
- Location, breakfast was terrific, friendly staff.
- Location in the city center close to everything Breakfast with local food
- Central, clean, great staff, friendly, fabulous breakfast.
Cons -
- Parking is expensive/ no alternative option in the centerRoom/ Equipment a bit old fashioned
- The shower cubicle was so narrow that if you moved you knocked the tap which controlled the temperature.
- The price you pay for that convenience is a bit of street noise into the late evening. Rooms that face the street will be aware of the loud voices coming from inside and outside the sports bar - Zur Alten Laterne. Keeping the well soundproofed windows closed gets rid of most of the noise but makes the room rather stuffy. One or two of the staff could do with some training in customer relations; being shouted at by the receptionist for making two cups of herbal tea in the early evening was unnecessary and rude - we knew very well that we would be expected to pay for them and were perfectly willing to do so along with our friends who were having drinks from the bar at the same time. It was also on another occasion petty and penny-pinching to tell my sister that she shouldn’t fill her small water bottle from the water dispenser in reception as it was “only for cups of drinking water “!

It was very easy and the breakfast was fantastic - one of the best we have had in Germany.
The shower cubicle was so narrow that if you moved you knocked the tap which controlled the temperature.
Excellent breakfast and great location. Very handy for the bus stops in Goetheplatz. The partner restaurant nearby was good value too.

The hotel is in a great position and a lot of the city's attractions are at a walking distance. Our room was spotlessly clean and the lift to the upper floors added to the hotel's convenience. It also has a private car park, but if you forget to book your slot in advance (as we did) you might find no place available, and there are no parking possibilities nearby, so you have to leave the car in a multi-storey car park at a 5 minutes walking distance. The breakfast buffet in the morning was enormous, tasty and varied (offering both salty and sweet food, which is not so common in Germany). The staff was nice and allowed us to do an early check in and to live our bags in a deposit after check out
As the car park is not huge and if you don't book your slot in advance you might find no place available, we would have enjoyed a reminder from the hotel a few days before our arrival
The staff were friendly and the location was perfect. However the breakfast surpassed all expectations. Possibly the best breakfast I’ve had in a Hotel
Great central location, comfortable room and pleasant breakfast. Underground car park a bonus
But tricky to find. Car park tight and hidden.Had to return to check in
Very good
Difficult to get there by car - GPS was guiding us to dive around due to many one way streets
The staff were wonderful. So helpful and friendly. The room was a good size and in a great location. And Weimar itself is so beautiful especially in the snow. I would highly recommend this hotel. Breakfast was great too.
Well located in this elegant city
Lingering smell of cigarette smoke at the street entrance. This was unnecessary as there was an outdoor courtyard at the rear of the ground floor with tables and chairs and ashtrays in a pleasant little garden
Comfortable room. Friendly staff. Lovely breakfast room and great breakfast. Well kept hotel.
Difficult to find. Probably the fault of our satnav and the one way street system in the town. More parking spaces at the hotel would have been perfect.
a breakfast is very good.we can have breakfast at out andDining room is very brightLocation is very useful
noshing
A comfortable, traditional family hotel with a generous hot and cold breakfast selection. The staff were attentive and helpful. The hotel is adjacent to the old town, so all the attractions such as museums and restaurants are in easy walking distance. The rooms are neat, tidy and comfortable.
The location is really convenient
It is not well isolated. In some occasions it was possible to hear people on the corridor or outside on the street
If you walk out the front door, you are in the middle of old town, with all interesting sights only a few minutes away. Hotel interior is quite decent, although lacks charm of really old building, it is more comfortable though. Room was not very big, but comfortable and very clean. Breakfast selection - nothing to complain about. Overall, would return to this place when visiting Weimar.
Rather inconveniently placed bed in our room, for people with some mobility restrictions would be hard to get into. Bathroom facilities made with cheap materials. Please mind that parking spots are in a narrow space, if you have really large SUV, it may be a problem.
Great location and rooms. Bed was comfortable Staff very friendly.
Breakfast was minimal, but ok
Great central location.
Some rooms are towards a rather noisy street bar. However, on request, we were immediately given a quieter room.
The location is great! Just a few blocks from Goethe Platz with all bus connections from the Central Station. The hotel staff is very friendly and the breakfast is delicious.
Carpeted floors in room.
The hotel is in an excellent location. It was walking distance to all the main attractions. It was very friendly with helpful staff, very good breakfast and the option of the secure car park.
