    Pros +

    • The hotel was quiet. On the ground floor, you can get hot water for free from the coffee machine.
    • The structure of the accomodation is very good. Large living room and nice sleeping room. The staff is also very attention and I observed many families there.
    • Very, very clean 24/7 reception, everything you need as amenities

    Cons -

    • The mattresses are spring-based and not very comfortable. The room for four people is very small.
    • The hostel is not central. Weimar is a small city, so the distance to the old town was 2 km. In the region of the hostel there are not many restaurant options also (but a Burger King is very close). I had a problem in the handle of the door and got locked for inside the room. I tried to call the reception but stayed more than 5 minutes in the line and did not have a answer. Finally I could manage and then contacted the staff and they fixed it. But the phone communication is bad.
    • A little bit noisy doors at the hallway

15 mins on foot to the Weimar train station. Bus #7 runs directly in front of hostel. Super close to Burger King outlet for food when hungry at odd times :) also a snack machine downstairs for chips and peanuts.

Need to inform Front Office beforehand if you need to use the kitchen. I had assumed it automatically came with the booking. Also, only 1 bus (Bus #7) runs directly between train station and the hostel. Working very early or late shifts means walking or cycling to and fro in the dark.

Well maintained (assuming it’s renovated just recently) with shared and family rooms. (2025 year) We stayed in family room, everything was ok. Absolutely no noise in the room, despite it has been packed with tourists and young people. Option to park just near for free. More parking spaces in 100 m. Nice bakery just opposite the road (we did not take breakfast in the hostel)Buchenwald is near by …

Kitchen and lounge. Staff is friendly and helpful.

The facilities were great, the check-in was also easy and the rooms are in a very good state. The room for 4 people is a bit cramped but it is ok for a weekend scape. The bathroom was ok and the hot water was working properly. For a motorbike, they were nice and gave me free parking on the back of the property. The breakfast was amazing for a hostel!

Room and Bathroom were clean. A hostel ideal for Family and couples. Value for money. In a decent price you get a decent place to stay.

They don’t accept cash, that was a bummer. I don’t mind being Digital but cash option should always there for backup purposes. Food could be better, location is a bit away from City centre. The building was probably a GDR era and walls were really thin.

Friendly staff, informed of what was going on. Great fellow travellers, although did not get much time to interact. Ease of accessibility. Good breakfast.

Mostly it was good. I had to interact with a bunch of teenagers in the night. Teenagers being teenagers were a bit loud, having fun. That is all

The facilities were excellent and very clean. The dorms were great with an excellent shower and toilet, bed was very comfortable

Very clean and comfy place for a short or longer stopover in Weimar. We had everything we needed in terms of amenities, including space in and outside of the hotel for kids and our pet. We will stay there again.

The room is very small but clean. This wasn't really a problem, because we stayed only one night. The real problem was the kids beds. They was covered with a plastic mat and no bed sheets. I understand that some kids might have accidents and you try to protect the bed, but you can put a bed sheet on top of plastic mat.Non of my kids was able to sleep in that beds and we was forced to sleep 2 adults and 2 kids in 2 single beds.Breakfast was good full with lots of choices, but was nobody at the entrance in the restaurant to check if I have breakfast included or no. I was half way through my meal when someone came and ask me to show him the reservation. It was a desk , probably for self check at the entrance in restaurant, but it was in German language and me being from a different country I was unable to understand.I not a bad place to stay, but it can be better.

Large, comfortable room with en suite facilities. A good budget option for an overnight stay

Too few staff on reception to deal with large number of clients (one overworked person doing check-in, bar and enquiring ) - we waited nearly an hour to check in after arrival of large coach party

    10AnnaPosted on: 8-25-2025

We had family room. It felt like hotel, clean, comfortable beds, towels, nice staff.

    Air conditioning would be nice.

Good hotel. I have stayed at this hotel chain several times, and never had any problems. The rooms are always clean.

In my room, the bedside lamp didn’t work. It would be nice if it could be fixed.

    4CarlosPosted on: 8-20-2025

    the pillows are good

people smoking in the hotel, lots of noise. I was waiting 25 minutes for someone to come to reception, no free parking at the place.

Excellent breakfast - I have to eat a Gluten Free diet and was well catered for.The hostel was a stop over point on a journey from UK to Slovakia, so was serviceable and what we needed as a family. The heat required us to open windows, but noise outside meant sleeping wasn't easy. The room was still hot in the morning, even though the weather outside had cooled down. The staff were excellent, helpful, patient and spoke English, which helped as my German is awful.

    Limited parking.
