Dorint Am Goethepark Weimar

The facilities were excellent. The staff was especially delightful and helpful. The lobby and bar were a welcome area to wait in. There are excellent restaurants in a small shopping area nearby where we had an excellent Italian meal. The location was a further walk from the train station that we expected, but we quickly discovered a nearby bus stop that we used for transportation.

We stayed in Weimar to visit Buchenwald, the history of which is very dark for its WWII denial. The city bus driver was not helpful and dropped us off far from the camp. We ended up walking miles along the railroad like to get to the camp. This is not a problem with the hotel, but it should be brought up to the tourism organization as an issue that should be addressed for future visitors.

The location is excellent: very close to the city center, but in the peaceful area with plenty of nature. The hotel is clean and comfortable enough for a short stay. The staff are friendly and helpful.

The decoration is rather old and loveless, and the hairdryer in the room has to be replaced: old, dusty, and isn't always working.

This was our second stay with Dorint am Goethepark. Each time, our room overlooked the Park an der Ilm. The windows opened so we could enjoy the light breezes and bird song. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The staff were very accommodating. The hotel was within walking distance of the park, most of the town of Weimar Germany and many historic sights, lovely cafes with lots of options, bakeries, and the farmers market on the Martkplatz. The hotel is close to shopping and additionally situated within 10 minutes by taxi or bus to the Weimar train station, making for an easy long distance train ride from Frankfurt Flugehofen (airport) with a change in Erfurt on to Weimar. We did not partake of the breakfast buffet but were told it was very nice.

The room was spacious, beautiful bathroom and very comfortable during. Hotel was quiet. Close to local attractions. A good gym, which is hard to find in Germany. Decor elegant. Staff very helpful.

Our room was comfy due to a comfy bed and linens. There was sufficient hot water for showers and bathing.Our room overlooked the Ilm Park and had windows to look out of, some opened for fresh air. There were shutters for privacy but they were not obtrusive. Our room was a comfortable temperature even with chilly temps and heavy fog outside. Check in/out was a breeze. The rate was very comparable with other hotels in the middle of Weimar. The location was super close to shopping, cafes, buses, trains, the Anna Amalia Library, and many other great places to visit in Weimar.

We did not partake of the breakfast offered since we were visiting family in the area but it looked like quite a large buffet.

Nice big rooms, friendly staff, in the higher prices rooms you get a nespresso machine instead of instant coffee.

The walk to the rooms was quite long.

Charming hotel with a lovely breakfast, good location for exploring Weimar, beautiful park just opposite and a really nice sauna.

Location fine but noisy concerts in park. Fortunately finished at 2300. Concerts caused a lot of extra road traffic.

Well appointed large rooms overlooking a beautiful historic park in the center of Weimar. The bed is comfortable, the wifi is fast, the restaurant is delicious, and the bar is open late. Very quiet, and the staff is outstanding.
