Pros +
- It was right next to the tram line, so convenient!
- Perfect location for what we were looking for. Super clean and updated. Friendly staff
- I like the location of this hotel. It is close to where I need to be for work. Breakfast is overpriced but decent. There is AC but it is noisy.
Cons -
- The rooms are carpeted which I don’t like because you can’t really get carpet clean and people walk around in shoes.
- This hotel is really a motel. The rooms are gross. There is only a bed, nowhere else to sit. The bed is very hard and uncomfortable. The bathroom smells of sewer if you have the drain open and the corners in the shower and vanity were dirty. The carpet is very short so it doesn't seem clean so you must wear shoes at all times. The AC sounds like gurgling water running through pipes and it lasts all night. The price asked for these basic, dirty rooms is really astounding. It should cost no more than €70 for these conditions.
- But had to pay 8 euros overnight which i have never had to pay before. As it was only one night that was ok .It would put me off staying more than one night.

Beautiful and clean facilities. Very comfortable, secure and accommodating for our late check in. Easy to find and park.
Easy to check in. Facilities good parking good.

The room was okay — a bit smaller than I expected. It’s ideal for a solo traveler, but if you're coming with a partner and carrying a couple of suitcases, it can feel a little tight in terms of space. That said, the cleanliness was spot on, and the washroom/toilet was well-maintained with most essential amenities provided. The bed was comfortable, and the room had a pleasant, cozy vibe. The location is also quite convenient, with easy access to nearby transport and local shops.
We (my wife and I) arrived at the hotel around 9:30 PM. Upon entering the first door, we found the second one locked. There was a screen that required us to enter our Reservation ID and surname to gain access. Our booking had been made by someone else, so although my name appeared as the guest, the system wasn’t accepting the credentials. We tried several combinations, but unfortunately, we couldn't get in.Just then, someone opened the door and looked at us with clear suspicion — it honestly felt like we were intruders! ?I explained the situation, and to his credit, he let us in and opened the reception area for us.I showed him my Apple Wallet confirmation and reservation ID, but he responded with, “You might be at the wrong hotel.”He requested our passports for verification and initially insisted that he didn’t have our booking. After showing him my Booking.com confirmation, he asked if the reservation was made by "XYZ". Once I confirmed that, his tone immediately changed — and only then did we start to feel like actual guests. ?I’m not sure where the miscommunication happened — perhaps it was a system limitation or a name mismatch. But a warmer welcome and more empathetic communication from the staff would have definitely made the experience less stressful after a long day of travel.
Air conditioning worked ok and the location was good
the breakfast was not worth the money. crowded and very little selection and advertising for breakfast lies about what is available
OK place if you want to visit Basel and save on hotels.Room is small, just basic beds and bathroom.
No fridge No kettle No clock. Can hear other travelers from hallway all night.
Location convenience and great price.
Could hear the guy next door snoring like a monster truck.
Ideal for a quick layover on a roadtrip. Rooms are functional, clean, solid. Staff were really friendly and helpful after we had a rough travel day and arrived at closing time. They also sorted out some administrative issue with the reservation smoothly.
Helpful desk staff. Explained tram system and stops to get to marketplace in city centre
EXCELLENT STAFF, very friendly, and helpful all the time.
practical, clean, good value
Location was perfect for our needs, very clean, spacious room
Breakfast could be better, but can't complain
Very clean, really nice staff, good breakfast, very close to the tramline into Basel and very efficient place.
The confort, clean room, close to tram, right at the 3 countries border. Same breakfast each day, but ok.
1. The fact that they did not provide any free ticket on transport (nor for Germany, nor for Swizerland). All my friends that have stayed in one of these countries, have received a free card from hotel. 2. If you are not able to reach for breakfast (for any reason) they are not having any solution. They told me they cannot refud as it was paid via booking. I needed to rearrange my schedule...3. Not able to help/advice on transportation.
It was clean and new, staff were friendly and helpful, we loved the location.
I wish it had kettle and mini fridge
Perfect for business trips, convenient free parking available, breakfast from 6.30, public transport towards Basel available in proximity. Room was realtively clean, strength of the wifi signal was good in the room
Bit of a smell in the room coming from the bathroom
The room was spotlessly clean and value for money, right next to the Swiss border. Breakfast was one of the best in its category, I highly recommend it.
It was in a good location for us and it had free parking.
The beds were very narrow.
Everything was perfect ! Very clean , close to tram , warm room , very good breakfast and finally excactly like the photos
The two women weren’t so helpful
