No air conditioning so we had to keep windows open, which resulted in loud noises from bar outside and lots of insects coming in the room.

The room that they gave us was very smelly. It was comming from the air pipes. The exit was blocked, but it was still a very unpleasant smell. The smell was not from the room itself, but the staff knew about the issue. room n 22

The cleanness was perfect! I have a white dog that entered under the bed, and even there was super clean. Staff really friendly.

The warmness in the room. It was a bit difficult to sleep without fan even though I opened the balcony door.

I didn’t expect much given the good price for one night but the room just wasn’t clean. there were spider webs everywhere along the ceiling and hair in the shower. The shower door didn’t close properly which caused a little bit of flooding on the bathroom floor, there was no ventilator or window in the bathroom. Since there was no air con in the room, it was incredibly hot, almost too hot to sleep.

Checkin and checkout are so fast.

There isnt any air-conditioning and the wheather was so warm.

Very close (walking distance) to both S-Bahn and Tram. Also very close to Fondation Bayler and a very large nature reserve. Large balcony helps. Very clean.

The room was quite spacious and clean for a hotel room.

During our stay (June 2024) they were renovating the hotel across from our hotel. But apparently, they share certain facilities (breakfast bar, lounge, reception) with the Base l Hotel. Breakfast was not so much a slow start of the day as there were already people working on site (a lot of drilling, hammering, etc). The breakfast was good and the staff was kind but the noise carried and was not mentioned when we booked the room a few weeks before.Also, our room was close to the train station so we had to close the windows when we went to sleep to block out the noise. All in all, we had some bad luck with our visit and timing. I’m confident that the hotel is good, but I would recommend calling them beforehand and ask about the renovation / building noise status.

Being on my way to Italy, this hotel had a good location for a stop right before the border of Switzerland. Sufficient parking spots and sizeable balcony.

The hotel didn't have their own reception, this was located in another hotel on the other side of the parking in the front. The room wasn't very clean unfortunately, having hairs on both the bed and in the bathroom. My room had sunlight the whole afternoon, and with the big windows, it got quite warm in there. Unfortunately, there was only a broken fan, so I had to sleep with an open window with the noises of e.g. the trains passing right next to the hotel.

This Hotel is unbelievable clean, staff is very helpful the price is unbeatable. Surrounded by nice restaurants. I will definitely come back again. Thanks.

Very modest breakfast

The newly renovated rooms are very nice and bright . The beds are very comfy and we loved the floor heating in the bathroom. Plus there is an amazing Asian restaurant just around the corner so we can only recommend it.

The room is newly refurbished, all very clean, beds are really comfortable. Free parking with enough space and just couple of minutes drive to Basel. Great location for a weekend in Basel on budget.

The hotel is undergoing renovation at the moment, so there are some works ongoing (but that is likely to finish soon)

Once in the hotel, it was a different world compared to the area outside the front door.Very basic but clean and modern. We only used it as a stopover going south, so it was ideal. The Swiss border (abandoned post, it looks like) is just a 5 min walk.I recommend the chicken place next door for a simple dinner.

The carpark area didn't feel too safe, but turned out ok after 1 night.
