    Pros +

    • Villa Azur is a very nice place to stay. It is comfortable and its location is perfect. Every member of the staff was attentive and professional. We are very glad that we had found and had chosen Villa Azur
    • We agree with everyone else - the location is what makes this a great place to stay. It sits directly on a public beach that ISN'T crowded at all. This is mainly due to only having Villa Azur on this stretch of beach, and anyone who is not a guest having to drive to the beach or take public transportation. This made this public beach almost feel like a private one. Our room had a balcony directly facing the ocean, and so whether morning, noon or night the views were wonderful. It always nice to sit with a cigar on a balcony at night listening to the wave and gazing at the moon (which was full during our visit). All attached photos were taken from the balcony, so you can see that it is really right on the beach.Staff was helpful in providing good, non-tourist restaurant tips and making reservations. They also went out of their way to help us locate some items when it was late and no shops were open.Parking is convenient and free. Room was basic, no-frills beach front stay accommodation. Breakfast was good, with plenty of choice. We were not there to be pampered, but to have a nice seaside rest without crowds before we drove on to other parts of France. This is not a place to stay if you want to go wandering around on foot to sight see or go shopping. This is only if you want to have easy access to a beach without crowds. Sightseeing and shopping both are not close, which was fine for us because we had a car and had booked the hotel knowing this already.
    • Location

    Cons -

    • Because we came in fall, we missed an experience of dining at Villa Azur
    • 4 star hotel without a bar, nothing to drink besides water, and the restaurant was closed.
    • The door of the balcony is hard to open and only well trained men can do that. It was difficult to enjoy sitting in the balcony because each time we had to struggle to open that heavy door..

The property sits right on the beach. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was great. They do have a parking lot right across a small one way street that was convenient and never full.

Room 206 had a hard to open and close sliding glass door.

Some noise from passing trains and traffic

Location and view. Breakfast was very good. Staff very helpful.

The door to the terrace was broken and couldn’t be opened easily. This meant we couldn’t use the terrace without taking 5 minutes and two people to open the door 1 metre. The woman at reception tried to fix it with some oil but had no luck and it was a weekend and the maintenance person was not working . This was a problem that should have been noticed during cleaning and had been going on for some time.

It was very near to Nice airport and a nice place to stop for the night. Excellent breakfast.

They were so nice and upgraded me to an ocean front room but I’m a very light sleeper and the sound kept me up most of the night.

It was in a perfect location

It’s a shame the restaurant wasn’t open and a bath in the room would of been great

    10LilianaPosted on: 12-5-2024

The view is so spectacular! Great location right at the beach. Breakfast was great. Very friendly staff. Free parking.

We could watch the sunrise from our bed. Fell asleep to the beautiful sound of waves every night. Very friendly staff. Nice terrace on the rooftop for enjoying the afternoon sun.

Provision of a few bicycles to rent would have been nice. There is a bike rental shop at the harbour, but it were closed for the season.

The location by the ocean is amazing. I had a room with ocean view. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was delicious and the stuff was very friendly. I would recommend this hotel.

Room on the beach was special. We enjoyed catching the sunrise in the morning and going for a quick dip.

    10AnitaPosted on: 10-22-2024

The view is so spectacular! I always return for a nights stay before heading back to the states.

No complaints. In the past there have been fisherman in front of my unit but, none this visit.

    10StefanPosted on: 10-19-2024

Great location right at the beach, fantastic breakfast and super close to the train station.

    Actually, nothing at all.

    10ViolaPosted on: 10-19-2024

From our room the sea view was amazing. It was fully equiped and it was very clean. Stuff was very kind ,they organized our taxi to the airport, and they explained the public transport and the French Riviera pass. The railway station and the bus was very close ,so it was a good decision to book here. Furthermore, the breakfast was enough and diverse. All in all, I recommend this hotel to everyone.
