Hotel-Restaurant Central am Königshof

Lovely old style hotel with good restaurant comfortable clean beds in a quiet suburban area.

Unfortunately it seems to be used by unsavory individuals as a party house, for paid sexual encounters with drug use and the associated noise throughout the night. There was no telephone in our room to call the night porter to complain. When I discussed this with the staff in the morning she did acknowledge that she knew which guests were responsible so I don’t think this was the first time this has happened.

The rooms are big and rather clean. The furniture was quite old

It was cold, and there were no way to modifiy the room temperature.

We were given a large room and the hotel decor is very elegant. The beds were very comfortable.

The hand-held over the bath shower was difficult to use and not in keeping with the rest of the hotel style.

The staff was very friendly, the apartment we had was very big and the beds were very comfortable.

We had a huge flat with two bathrooms for the price of a regular room.

Some equipment were faulty. (One of the two showers) but as there was two bathroom it was not a big problem.

Location is very good. It was clean. One of the staff members at the reception was very kind and helpful.

One of the staff members was absolutely rude on the phone. I had called earlier to say I will be checking in late and the person we talked to forgot to leave my room key in the box. When I didn't find the key, I called the number given in case of emergencies. The person who answered was extremely rude, shouted at me on the phone and told me to get somewhere else to stay. This was 1:30 a.m. when she called her colleague to verify what I told her, she realised that we told the truth and her colleague just forgot to leave the key, in which case she apologized. However, it was such a horrible feeling. Her colleague at the reception desk apologized on her behalf the next morning and even offered free breakfast but I just wanted to get away. I think next time, would be better to first verify the information given by the guest before shouting at them. We are all human and make mistakes, it takes a minute to breathe and be mindful of how our reactions affect others.

A very comfortable hotel with friendly staff. A good location for travelling through Germany. We had a good meal in the restaurant in the evening with good local wine. Wifi was free.

Our room was located on front of door from kitchen. We were irritated all evening with sounds of plates bottels ect. Also the door from that kitchen was opened. Frustrated I have closed it , unfortunately the door was opened again by kitchen staff. Also the foot steps irritated us. The corridor flow was made with wood panels instead of nice carpets… I went also to the reception to make my comments on above mentioned problems unfortunately did not help us at all. We escaped the hotel during the night time.

Not a 4 star hotel!!! Maybe 2.The lady on the the reception very unfriendly, she said she cannot give me a receipt but she will send by email "shortly". Never arrived.The bad was very old and uncomfortable.

Very friendly staff, they where already closing but we where allowed to still drink something. The breakfeast was very tastefull and complete. The rooms felt like home. There was enough parking space around the hotel and the nabourhood felt safe.

Staff was attentive, but not friendly

The room was dirty and smelly, pipes in the bathroom were broken.There was so much hair and fur in the beds, sheets and pillows. This is totally unacceptable. One curious thing was that nobody asked for feedback. I guess they know better not to ask.

Manuela at reception was most helpful and friendly, good english. Food in restaurant was good. The hotel has an elevator.

No air conditioning and balcony, although they were in the description of the room on booking.com

Old dusty room. No soundproofing. You hear talks from passing behind the room door guests.Cigarettes smoke from smoking guests in the parking lot enters into the room. Stuffy, noisy, old (see pics).

The room was carefully booked with air conditioner and garden view to avoid any street noises.The room obtained was with old unstable noisy fan with the windows to the public street. Ignorant staff.

Stayed at different rooms, heating in the bathroom was never working. If you check in on Monday afternoon in winter time you are going to find definitely the heating turned off

The location

i booked a suite, on arrival I was provided with a single room. They did not even call and confirm me earlier that there is no availability, otherwise I would have booked elsewhere. They made the assumption on behalf of me that I dont need a suite and gave it to someone else despite me paying the whole fee upfront. Such a ridiculous place to stay with this level of service. Aside from that the offered room had uncomfortable small bed, it might have been better if I were offered the room I actually paid for. The room shared a terrace through window (not even a door) with another guest who was disturbing at night with torch light violating privacy. The toilet is a mess. Very narrow and uncomfortable commode and the sink was emitting black wastes and was not draining any water. On top of that the room was of very high temperature, even the provided stand fan did not help much. Overall I would not even recommend to my worst of enemies.

We checked in after 10pm but still we received a spportive and caring reception via phone.Room was spacious with a small pantry. Furnishing was in old classic.Bed was extra big and excellent. Bath shower was comfortable and hot. I was surprised by the foot bath supplementary. Very nice. We had a good rest overnight.
