- AN ABSOLUTE GEM! I cannot wait to go back! A perfect location with stunning rooms and a staff that literally adopts you when you enter. I was traveling with two dogs and stayed for five night, and every day was better than the last - and the team could not have been more friendly and helpful! And the food was OUT OF THIS WORLD! Compliments to the chef, the team, the owners - I am planning a trip there next summer with my kids! A++++
- Beautiful restored 900 year old building lovingly refinished by the owner with reclaimed and matched material to exact standards of past glory with modern comfort.
- The location, a fabulous terrace
Cons -
- The only thing I could improve was to stay for twice as long!
- There was a wedding so we couldn’t enjoy the terrace. Rooms outdated
- The AC in the room was not working properly (it kept being stuck at 24 degrees Celsius!!!) and shut off in the middle of the night. I spoke to Manuela about it the day we checked in and she told us she would control the air from her master control center downstairs and put it to 21 degrees Celsius. That worked until we went to bed. At 5am in the morning my husband and I woke up from our sleep because it was SO HOT in the room due to the AC shutting off during the night and we could not breathe. My husband had to step outside to cool off on the veranda, that’s how bad it was as he suffers from asthma. Air conditioning is a MUST, especially in Italy where the temperatures are 27-28 degrees Celsius, and I booked this hotel specifically for AC and free parking. We then went downstairs at 5am to speak to somebody about it and no one was at the front desk. The office was locked and closed. We also called the front desk phone and no one answered. We complained in the morning to Claudia as she was at the front desk and she said “thank you for telling me, I have another reservation coming in. AC is important and we will take a look for the next guest”. She completely dismissed our experience and left us feeling uncared for. We would like a refund due to this terrible outcome as it really ruined our stay. We came here specifically for my birthday celebrations and they didn’t even acknowledge my note about it prior to booking, until my husband told the waiter at the terrazzo restaurant that we’re here to celebrate my birthday. Why make every room have their own access to their own temperature if you’re going to control it from front desk and lock the system out anyways? Very frustrating and unprofessional.

Scene, location, friendly scene staff and beautiful breakfast and tasty dinner☺️
Beautiful old villa, nice room, wonderful view from the balcony to the lake and huge old spruces! Restaurant is very good, we liked everything we ate. I liked the atmosphere of the hotel.
Very nice staff, amazing restaurant and nice rooms with a gorgeous view out of the large balcony. Delicious decaf cappuccino !!
Breakfast was very limited and I felt uncomfortable eating the eggs that were not being constantly warmed. The hotel was very far from where I wanted to be. No elevator but the staff will help carry the bags up. But I felt bad having them carry the large suitcase I had with me.
What a beautiful classical hotel this was! All of the staff were exemplary; always friendly and accommodating. The location is very easily accessible from Milan. The Lecco area of the lake is very nice, away from the craziness of the famous towns but still easy to access them on day trips.
Beautiful hotel full of character Staff so friendly Food fabulous Beautiful scenery
Clean roomNice and large balcony with view on lake Breakfast was good
Small room for two persons and VERY small bathroom
Lovely place! Very cozy and with an amazing view. It was super clean and the staff super friendly. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was really cool! Highly recommend this hotel!
It’s a hidden gem of Como .We had very clean room with beautiful terrace and stunning view. The staff is so friendly , attentive and always ready to assist with anything. Restaurant in the hotel apart the view and warm atmosphere has a remarkable chef. And food was outstanding.
The restaurant was amazing and the view was perfect
Room size and accessibility from any major city
A beautiful hotel in a quiet, peaceful part of lake como. Staying here felt like staying in a museum! The room was great, the staff were so kind and helpful, and the ristorante Al Terrazo is one of the best meals I've eaten in my entire life. HIGHLY recommend staying here.
- Quiet - Very Clean- Staff are very friendly
- Expensive for what you get- Breakfast very basic- WiFi is very slow and breaks often- No elevators
The staff are nice and helpfulThe balcony was huge, but the rooms were quite small
There are weddings being hosted there on a regular bases, which means it is very noisy not only over the weekends but during the week even lunchtime so even if you want to have a siesta sometime, it was very difficult
Very beautiful small hotel. Staff were wondeful and were helpful with any requests. Room was beautiful and so comfortable (junior suite). We liked the location a lot.
Small hotel so not a lot of spaces to sit or spend time in apart from the room itself. Breakfast had limited options. Neither points affected our stay much though.
The staff were extremely helpful and so pleasant. By the second morning they had remembered our breakfast order. The hotel location is amazing with stunning views of the lake and mountains. The quality and value for money at the Michelin star restaurant was outstanding.
There was nothing to dislike, it was simply perfect
Beautiful view, great balcony
