    Pros +

    • An amazing place to stay - the owners are exceptional, they are very friendly and helpful, the hotel is full of charm and character with very high quality furniture, drapes, etc. Breakfast is also delicious - excellent range of food and always fresh. Located just a short walk from the Gare. Our second time in Tarascon and would love to return in the future.

    • unpleasant experience

    Cons -

    • The possibility of having a cooked breakfast would be nice and of course a bathtub as well..
    • On booking is marked that the hotel has parking, what was the only thing why I decided to book the hotel. But when I arrived there was no parking. I called in the hotel to say that I will not stay there since that was the only reason I booked the hotel and the receptionist told me, he is not the owner and the parking is in front of the hotel but from the city. I arrived around 23h and of course all the parking slots were taken, so that meant park 2km away from the hotel. If on booking says Parking for me it means the hotel has the parking. I canceled my room with the receptionis who told me ok, we will cancle the room, but I was charged however. I called few days after, a lady (I assume the owner) answered the phone and just said she was sorry. When I made the booking it was marked Parking available while now this is changed to not available. So if it is so clear that the parking is available but not private I do not understand how come this is now changed to Parking not available. I am sorry for "punishing" you but I announced my late arrival and called when I ws there, I couldnt be avare there is no parking in upfront if it was differently announced.
    • It does not have an elevator which made it extremely difficult and strenuous when you have to carry up two flights of stairs 8 suitcases. We had a group booking and unfortunately no - one on the staff offered to assist.

The hotel is fabulous, very quirky. Rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was great. The lady in charged even recommended a restaurant for our dinner booking which was close and fantastic. The hotel is extremely good value for money.

It does not have an elevator which made it extremely difficult and strenuous when you have to carry up two flights of stairs 8 suitcases. We had a group booking and unfortunately no - one on the staff offered to assist.

The bath renovation was a pleasant surprise.

Although it was listed as a hotel with the expectation of front desk available 24/, we realized that check in was only by 8:00 pm. We were 3 minutes past 8 and the receptionist was less than friendly. The carpet on the stairs was in rough shape. The whole room decor was a mish mash of stuff creating the overwhelming atmosphere of second hand store display. The windows had no curtains or blinds and there were very bright street lights innundating the room making our sleep difficult. Overall, not a relaxing experience.

Very nice hotel, cozy and comfortable right in the center. We stayed 3 nights. We had a big and spacious room, very nice furnished and quiet. Also the bathroom was practical and functional.

Unfortunately there is no private parking but we have always been able to park on the road, in front of the hotel door

Good breakfast. Great receptionist. Decor was really fun. Location near old town was delightful.

    All good!

Great breakfast; lovely staff; good hotel; we wouldn't stay in Tarascon again

    10RadekPosted on: 3-22-2024

The fantastic staff, tasteful and inspiring common spaces and my room too, free parking directly in front of hotel, serving breakfast to my room, really pet friendly atmosphere... And of course - perfect base to discover amazing historic cities Tarascon and Beaucaire. It was only positive, unique experience. I'd like to repeat the stay sometimes in the future.

Close to supermarket and train station. Nice decor. Clean. Seemed safe area.

My mistake I missed there was no elevator. Lots of steps to room with heavy bag it was not easy.

Wonderful hotel and very kind staff. Beds very comfortable and very effective air conditioning. Highly recommend hotel des artistes to anyone in Tarascon, especially the balcony rooms

It has a great character. Too bad we didn’t get to enjoy it very much.

We must have killed at least twenty flies and mosquitoes, but they still somehow kept coming into the room, even though the windows and the doors were closed. We planned to stay for three nights but left after one.

Nice vibe, very friendly reception. Breakfast was fresh and tasty.

    9GabrielaPosted on: 8-18-2022

I liked the clean room and bathroom, the confortable bed, the provence style deco of our room and the friendly people.

The area is a bit dodgy.

    9EricaPosted on: 8-6-2022

Superb staff, comfy beds, charming decor. We felt like we were in our own home (but better!)

I would’ve liked more selection for breakfast. The hotel felt a bit far from the main sights.

great attention, English speaking, lovely place, big room, good shower. everything in working condition

Beautiful hotel with a historic charm!! All the amenities you would expect - done with a touch of class. The rooms are spacious and well kept. The owner was incredibly nice and helpful. He set up a quick breakfast for us in a pretty dining room so we could leave quickly. He was very flexible as we arrived really late. Highly recommended!

The beds were comfortable but a bit on the hard side, but not an issue for any of us.
