Hotel Weinhof Groß Mackenstedt

They have bug screens! Any accommodation that has that deserves 5 stars at least! The breakfast was not extensive but was good and I'm just glad not be charged 20 euro's per person for extra choice. The location was really quiet.

Breakfast was excellent - a buffet with many choices.My large van was easy to park, at the back near the rhubarb.

The hotel was exceptionally clean. The staff were good natured and helpful. The area was quiet, but easily accessible .It was convenient to have a meal there in the evening. The breakfast gave us a huge choice!

It was hot and the room was not air conditioned and no fan. All though the food was fantastic more choice would be welcomed

Nothing - we did not stay.We drove off after finding no one there.

When we arrived the place was closed. There was a handwritten note asking us to call a telephone number. But we booked the hotel because it had a restaurant. We drove 700km and wanted to eat on site. The restaurant was closed. There was no one to welcome us. The car park was empty. We went into Bremen and stayed in a city centre hotel. It was more driving and hassle but when we got there they were open and had food etc. Seems they do this every Tuesday and Wednesday.

Main door was closed, keys dropped outside, message for visitors only in German, missing country code by telephone number. No information which room was ours. TV channels only in German. Stuff hardly could speak English

Quiet location. Thirty year old building, but a degree of old German charm.

it was very clean

i told them i walk with two sticks and found stairs very difficult, i was given an upstairs room. they should have told me that they couldn’t accommodate me. in the morning i had to come downstairs on my bottom, not impressed at all.i would have liked a tea tray in the room.

Breakfast was good. Location was also OK.

When we arrived at about 1700 the property appeared deserted. We had to make a phone call to get instructions to find a key to get in. Not exactly a warm welcome!
