El Doria Hotel

Pros +

• Nice welcoming from reception
• Very close to the beach.

Cons -

• Many problems, and none of them are small. Let's start with the 3-room apartment: Huge cockroaches. The master bedroom's bathroom had a big cockroach vacationing on the toilet's commode. We told the hotel about it. They sent a guy to swat it with his shoe and take it out. Later, we discovered that there was another cockroaches relaxing under the toilet seat in the same bathroom. I one of the other bedrooms, a dead cockroach was laying under the sink. But this was not the worst of it: the whole bathroom smelled of urine (the seat was covered in it) and the cleaner confirmed that the urine was not only in the toilet but elsewhere in the bathroom too... The cleaner's solution was to open the window. The last room's door handle was broken. In the morning, the water kept being turned off so using the bathroom was not possible. We paid for an extra bed, so they brought it in, without any sheets and said they would be back in the evening to set it up. We had to call them a little before midnight for them to do it. The kitchen had 4 glasses even though it was an apartment for 6 people. The cutlery consisted of one spoon. We didn't even bother checking on plates. The bathrooms seemed to have one towel even though the rooms were for 2 people. On to the "Superior" room: Once we made it through the maze and finally located the room (no signs, and more corridors than you would expect) , we discovered that there was no water because they had shut the mains for that room. No idea why. Frankly, this stay was an unmitigated disaster and anyone who runs a hotel like this should be ashamed.
