ACHAT Hotel Schwetzingen Heidelberg

Location was walking distance to Schwetzingen castle and downtown.

Parking lot small and hard to find parking on the street if the parking lot is full. Wi-Fi network in rooms non existent. Restaurant closed for dinner the three nights we were there because of a conference.

The breakfast - excellent. Location - excellent. Staff - brilliant.

Would prefer a Double bed

The rooms were updated and modern. The breakfast was a typical German breakfast with many options.

The staff was extremely polite and helpful.Very tasty breakfast.

There is no AC in the room and after 2 pm it was really getting like a sauna in the room. The bathroom is quite small too.

The room was reasonably sized and comfortable.The bathroom was clean.The bar was homely and the barkeeper/receptionist was attentive and efficient.The breakfast was excellent.

The room was hot, no air conditioning.The bottle of water in the room was a left over from a previous guest, I bought my own.The toilet was cramped and too close to the shower surround.

Walking distance to everything. Fast check-in and check-out. The room was comfortable and clean. No AC, but the fan worked perfectly. Breakfast was good. Staff were very friendly.

Bad smell in the bathroom if you leave the door closed (even though it was cleaned). No extra pillows or blankets

Breakfast was great as always and the coffee was exceptional. The room was clean and the bar area was great for having a drink and a conversation at the end of the evening. Overall I am certain we will return.

The bed was a bit soft for my liking, but still comfortable. Same with the pillows, but it is alwas difficult to find the same comfort level as ones own bed. A second coffee machine wouldn't go amiss either, since during peak hours it is a bit of a wait, but that is likely asking too much, and the coffee machine is excellent, so I imagine a second wouldn't make sense financially.

Location, beautiful Palace just opposite the Hotel. Main entrance about 10 minutes walking distance.

The staff was very helpful including with late check in and ordering taxi.The room had a good size and fulfilled all expectations for a one night stay.The breakfast was ready early, and had a good amount of options.

The room had a weird urine smell that we couldn't track, but did not appear dirty.We had no time to view the area around the hotel as we were only there for a emergency one-night stay, so the prize was high for that.

Close to Schwetzingen palace. Room very conftable, clean and silent.

The stay was nice but we were disappointed with the price of two of the three nights. Guess we didn’t read the booking.com that the rates went up on the weekend. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful with all our needs.

Rooms on top floor need AC during summer months.

The room was very clean and comfy and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for me - about 10-15 minutes' walk from the station and very close to the entrance to the castle gardens. I was going to a rock concert in the castle gardens, and was surprised and delighted to find a rocker rubber duck in my room as a welcome's present :-)

My only (very minor) gripe was that the description of the rooms on booking.com mentioned an electric kettle in the room, which was incorrect. However, the hotel's own website does not promise tea or coffee-making facilities, so the booking.com description should be updated.

The room and the bathroom was good.

They have charged me 15 Euro extra for only 30 minutes overstay. I have stayed only for few hours, they could be not that strict. Otherwise ok.

Friendly people and good service. Breakfast was good nicely made.

Baby cot was half broken, so bed was placed. We exchanged the bed for the half broken cot, so all was saved well. Our 2-year old really cannot sleep in an adult bed.An investment for a new baby cot is advised.
