Jagdschloss Hotel Niederwald

The room which we were given was dark and the interior was dull. What I didn't like most is the fact that the toilet is far apart from the bed and is not so convenient at night to go to the toilet.The sauna shower area is slippery and I fell!

The breakfast was wonderful, large selection of options, and the breakfast room was lovely. Also, the room were very nicely appointed, and the location was peaceful.

This hotel was in a great location. The restaurant was lovely. However, I felt overpriced, tired looking and dusty. Needed a revamp for the prices that are currently charged. No tea or coffee in rooms.

The hotel is surrounded by beautiful forest and meadows, as well as a deer enclosure. Very quiet, yet close to the gondola down to Assmannshausen and Rüdesheim a. Rhein.One can enjoy a short, yet beautiful walk to the Niederwald Monument with spectacular views over the Rhein. Rooms are spacious and well equipped.Very friendly staff and ample of parking.

i receive an accomodation in a separate house with 2 rooms. The large room has a view onto forrest park with animals. Extremely quiet. Splendid external terrace. Excellent foor and wine recommendation by the staff.

Well maintained Sauna and Pool with Jacuzzi. Spacious room. Very well decorated and maintained property.

Beautiful place to stay. Our room was lovely and the staff were welcoming. It was nice to see the deer park in the evening after a wonderful dinner.Parking good

The bath was very narrow and dangerous to stand in to shower.

Staff amazing.Location amazing. It is a special hotel with lots of character. A great experience, something different. I highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting this area.Had dinner there 1 night and it was excellent. The rest of the time we did not eat there as we were out in the surrounding areas.

Location was lovely.

No restaurant and no hotel bar which is more 2 star than 4 or 5 star.

Its history and location. The surrounding woods are most lovely, with many walking trails in the area.

The property exuded a strong sense of history and the shared spaces were well decorated. But it was not good value for money. The room was extremely small, dated and very basic - not a hint of luxury throughout. And definitely no special touches. It reminded me of a hostel room. Bathroom fixtures and furniture were dated, oddly sized and look cheap. For example, the sink and bathroom shelves were extremely high up, the bed was small, in fact, the smallest we have ever slept on in our one-month travel. Pool was dismal as was the sauna. I kept asking how this could be considered a top rate hotel. At the restaurant, our German friends, who had recommended us the hotel, were surprised at the bill when it came for coffee and cake. The hotel seems to have a fine reputation but what it offers does not match up to it at all. So much more can be done to make it shine.

Lovely Hotel in a forest location with everything at hand with a nice swimming pool and sauna and our suite was set away from the main hotel in a shared cottage

Our room was a little cold on our arrival as we had been walking all day and we were wet through and were looking forward to a warm cosy suite- however this was quickly sorted

Great location, lovely staff and wonderful landscapes, the pool provided a relaxing end after a long day of travel.

The rooms were a bit small, I think we would have hoped for slightly more modernised facilities. The restaurant was a little expensive as well, but the quality of the food was good.

The rooms, the Hotel staff service were very welcoming and paid attention to details. The Hotel restaurant is very good.

This, in the past charming hotel, now needs serious renovation. Curently it does not deserve a 4 star level. At the same time, breakfast in the hotel starts late, at 8 am. I believe this is a problem for many business visitors.

The poor quality of two meals on second night which manager said we had to pay for as we had crouched the food The wild boar goulash was inedible tough and very fatty The duty manager was unhelpful Finally agreed to pay for obe meal even though both were inedible Went to bed hungry Offers a schnapps or sorbet as a placator Unacceptable Spoiled what was a celebratory birthday When I showed the manager on booking.com the basic rooms they had put us Wray’s the business the pms we had paid for her initial response se was all the rooms were business rooms!!!!!! She then showed me alternative too d that Nat hee what I had booked This is unacceptable practice

Area is beautiful

We ended up in a room that was in dire need of a push into this century. The evening staff had too many people to take care off, leaving us with a Fawlty Towers feeling.
